I keep having an issue when using the map editor on BeamNG, when I hit F11 and start modifying any map (in this case DeadZone), Im laying out track pieces for the railroad and Ill spawn maybe 5 or 6 pieces of track, and as I move them around and position them i can watch the ram usage creep up slowly with each move, I figured maybe it was for recalling for ctrl-Z, so Ive tried saving it, leaving the editor then come back, and the ram usage never decreases. when I start the map I have about 8,000 mb of ram avaliable, and it slowly decreases to 1 mb then will eventually crash saying Beamng requested more ram than available. Ive tried expanding the pagefile on my primary SSD to 16,000 mb and it still will eventually crash.

Im assuming the game is memory leaking, as long as I save the map, then restart the game completely the ram drops back to the 8,000 mb mark on available ram.

Never have an issue if I dont enter the editor, I can load Roane County and spawn trains and trucks galore until my PC is begging for mercy at 12 fps, with no issues with the game, but If i open the editor even once and maybe just add 1 object to the game and go back to playing, it will eventually crash

It can run RDR2 without issues as well.

I also have an Oculus Rift and playing VR games it never crashes regarding Ram usage

Is there a fix to this? Im using the new editor and not sure how to go back to the old style editor, i never seemed to have this issue with the old editor.

Maybe try a new set of ram, and maybe 16gb. i dont know if this is a hardware or software problem.

Brand new ram, not even 4 months old, I suspect a software issue, because I have zero issues with ram in other programs, If it were a hardware issue I'm sure I would be experiencing blue screens and lockups after a while and while in other games, but as soon as I kill Beamng the ram usage drops down to just around 2 gigs. Beamng works fine as long as I dont play with the editor.

Here it did it again, grabbed a screenshot, this time it first popped up that Beamng has crashed due to requesting too much memory, then I accidentally clicked firefox open and it ended up knocking out the video driver in the process.

I found out that if I swap to the old editor I have zero memory usage issues, but as soon as I open the 2.0 editor it starts eating away at my ram, I can usually run it for about 15 minutes before it crashes, I spent hours with the old editor last night with no issues at all
