Hello, I was trying to understand the world editor in the map cliff, and I don't know how I did this but I actually managed to put some roads... But all of these mesh roads I have placed were not good and I wanted to improve it later. I saved my Map. But now I only have my modified and screwed up (buggy) version of the Cliff map, do you know how I could erase all the things I have done, and get the original Cliff again ? It would also be really kind to tell me how to prevent this situation. I am a noob at computering and I just discovered the World Editor today, before I just used it to duplicate cars.
im not sure how to fix your world editor problem but I do know how to get the map back! Delete the map and check for integrity, that should redownload it. Or reinstall using steam.
Not needed. Just go to Documents/BeamNG.drive/levels and delete the cliff folder. It contains only your handiwork that's now added over the original Cliff.
But I only have one file, I think Cliff was already deleted, I overwrited my "creation" on it... So I just have to go to my program files then steam, beamngdrive and levels and I delete the Zip file Cliff? After that I need to reinstall it no? Anyways thanks a lot for answering!
Don't delete the Cliff.zip from steam folder, that's the original game file. Delete the cliff folder from your user folder: Documents/BeamNG.drive/levels/
Ah okay my bad, I didn't understand because I moved my user folder into the game files because in my documents it was in OneDrive --- Post updated --- There isn't one cliff folder there are many files, and I don't know which of them I should delete, there are TER , JSON , PREFAB , PNG and JPG files, what should I delete? --- Post updated --- Actually no, I was in the wrong directory, but now I have two folders: one Cliff and one Cliff_test which one do I delete? --- Post updated --- After that, how do I make sure that Cliff goes back to normal?
I'm not sure where saved files went in your case. Normally cliff folder would contain main folder (with MissionGroup folder and items.level.json) and main.decals.json.
Well I deleted both of them, because apparently the Cliff_test folder only had a tree model in it. Now I no longer have my horrible road thanks a lot!!!!! Now I wanted to ask you, I really want to start creating maps and I thought that using this official map to start was a good idea, but how can I manage to use this map without interfering with the official one, can I mod a copy of Cliff.zip --- Post updated --- also maybe I do mistakes so excuse my english, I am french lol
