Look what I found while browsing through the App Store... And its not only this that I have found. I also have seen fake YouTube ads showing BeamNG. How in the world are these people still getting away without getting sued? And because of them, I feel bad for the kids (whos parents don't allow them to buy the game or they don't have a laptop or pc) who downloaded the ripoff game
Don't get me wrong, these ripoff games are horrible. I'm just not sure there's much anyone can do about it. Sadly, there's also ripoff movies and ripoff toys.
I hope BeamNG devs can file a case against these people who made such horrible BeamNG ripoffs. Especially if you know BeamNG really well, at first glance you will know ads showing BeamNG for other games are absolutely fake.
they'd most likely be bot or alt account reviews, the maker of it just makes 50 accounts, rates their own app 5 stars and says "the very best free mobile game i hav ever made played!"
at worst, these worthless scammers get a reasonably large stream of revenue from 8 year old kids with their parent's credit cards who don't know any better. at best it's a hilariously bad mobile game.
I think the best thing one can do right now is to leave a bad review so that people don't waste their time downloading it.
Not just that, do the same thing of what these ripoff game developers do, create multiple dummy accounts and write one bad review from each dummy account.
I've said it before: they're never going away. The devs aren't going to spend 10k+ to hire a lawyer in order to send a cease and desist letter to some guy who downloaded a free trial of Unity in his parents' basement. The App Store also offers basically no recourse for this sort of thing either, so there's essentially nothing worth doing about it.
