what story is it based on
    --- Post updated ---
This crash story is based on a true story. What you are about to read is a BeamNG.drive version of a true story with a small detail altered (the map).
Case: SUV loses control and goes off the road, later flipping, July 2, 2007
Crash Description: A mother and 15 year old boy were going on a trip to get groceries from the store on Small Island. The mother, who noticed it was raining, slammed on the brakes as soon as she saw the load, causing the SUV to fall off of the road, hit a rock, and land at the bottom on it's roof, trapping the two occupants inside. The boy, who is identified as Phil, instantly opened his door to evacuate his vehicle, and he helped his mom out of the car, saving them both. A Gavril D15 driver from Texas was visiting his family for Independence Day when he saw the flipped SUV. The truck driver instantly called 911. Here is the transcript of the call.
    Operator: 911, what's your emergency?
Truck Driver: I saw the aftermath of a bad car wreck. A D10 Charro is on it's roof, and both occupants are out of the car. They look severely injured.
Operator: Ok, what is the D10's license plate?
Truck Driver: I don't know, I'm taking a closer look. YUE-7907, it's registered to a 1989 Gavril D10 Charro 4WD, the registered plate is Small Island, USA.
Operator: Ok, what is your license plate?
Truck Driver: 6424A1, the registered plate state is Texas.
Operator: Is your car a 1992 Gavril D15 Long Bed?
Truck Driver: Yes, it is a D15.
Operator: We will send an ambulance and police vehicle to your location. The road will be closed off.
Truck Driver: Ok, thanks for the help!
Emergency vehicles arrived in 6 minutes. The truck driver moved his D15 to allow police and EMS head down the offroad path. A fire chief car and ambulance arrived on the scene to help, and a police car was the first one on the scene. Phil has been regarded as a hero for saving a life that day.
Injuries: Phil and his mother were both in critical condition, and instantly taken to the hospital.
Damage: The D15, Roamers, and H45 were all unharmed. The D10 is a total loss.
Cars used: (kind of a long list lol) Gavril D10 Charro, Gavril H45 Ambulance, Gavril D15 Long Bed, Gavril Roamer FD and Police.
Map Used: Small Island Classic by Car_Killer
Aftermath: Phil received a medal and was regarded a hero on that traumatizing day in which the accident occurred, and he was released from the hospital along with his mother 2 days later. The truck driver had a calm and safe Independence Day and took the next plane back to Texas on July 6, 2007. The D10 is a total loss.
True Story: In the summer of 2007, a SUV (most likely a first gen Ford Explorer, made from 1991-1994) hydroplaned off the road and flipped, and a 16 year old boy saved his mother that day.

Part 2 will take place one year later in California, where Phil and his mother witness a wreck similar to the one they have been in.
Important notice regarding part 2: Phil's mother will not be in the story, as she will be at her new house

    Part 2
Case: Street racer crashes into the same school bus Phil is on, August 14, 2008
Crash Description: Phil was taking the bus home from school when the driver noticed the bus started to stall. The driver pulled the bus onto the side of the road and put on the hazard lights. Suddenly, a street racer in a 800 horsepower Tograc he made himself was racing down the highway at 150 MPH. The street racer slammed into the side of the bus and was killed on impact. Phil did the right thing and open the rear emergency door, saving his peers, and helping the driver open the front service doors to let the other students out. They all evacuated the bus safely, saving over 20 lives that day.
Injuries: The street racer died on impact. All of the bus passengers and the driver had minor injuries.
Damage: The Tograc is totaled, and the bus has a broken light and a torn off emergency door in the rear, as well as having no rear left tire.
Cars Used: Gavril CB40, Innocent Customs Tograc
    Map Used: West Coast USA
Aftermath: A different bus took the students home. The bus driver called a taxi to go home.

Case: social media stunt gone wrong, May 30th 2018.

Description: in an attempt to gain notoriety online, a man drove his 4WD MPV down a flight of stairs in a public park in Norte. However, the car fell most of the way down and landed on its roof. A crowd had gathered and were able to right the car, at which point it drove away despite the driver having mild head injuries.

Injuries: the driver seemed to be fine, though he later complained of headaches and was admitted to hospital with a suspected fractured skull.

    Vehicles involved: 1997 Ibishu Kashira 2.5 4x4.

    Location: Norte, Italy.

Aftermath: the damage to the car was repaired, though it was expensive. The driver did not make an insurance claim because he feared legal consequences for his illegal stunt- though once videos found their way onto the internet he was tracked down and charged with criminal damage and dangerous driving anyway. His excuse of "it was just meant to be a joke" did not fly in court, and he was fined for damage to the historic wall the car had hit on its way down.

    Case: drink-driving crash, October 24th 2020.

Description: a drunk driver lost control on a suburban street, smashing into two cars on a driveway at over 50mph.

Injuries: the driver was unconscious when the homeowners came out to investigate the noise. He had sustained several broken bones and some brain damage.

Vehicles involved: 2011 Gavril Vertex Sport, 1999 Ibishu Covet DX, 2020 Cherrier Emousse.

    Location: West Coast, USA.

Aftermath: the parked cars, and the house they were outside, belonged to a family. The 17-year-old son's Ibishu beater took the brunt of the impact and was completely destroyed- though disheartened, he at least had an interesting story to tell and an excuse to buy a new car. While it had saved his single mother's Cherrier from most of the damage, that car still had to go back to the company's North American HQ for repair work to the body, transmission and suspension, costing her insurance company just over $5k. The driver, once out of hospital, was given a DUI and charged with reckless driving, which cost him his licence and landed him six months in jail.

    Case: head-on collision, May 2nd 1989.

Description: a resident of a small tropical island in the Pacific ordered a new car by mail. It was one of the final Ibishu Pigeons, a petrol-powered 600 model in white. As was customary on the island, the car would arrive by plane, then be loaded into the back of a truck to be delivered to the customer's home. However, on the route to its final destination the truck carrying the Pigeon was hit head-on by a distracted driver.

Injuries: the driver of the other car did not survive. While the truck driver had a broken arm and severe glass cuts from the smashed window, he made a full recovery within a few months.

Vehicles involved: 1988 Gavril D45, 1989 Ibishu Pigeon, 1988 Ibishu CrossCovet DXi.

    Location: Jungle Rock Island.

Aftermath: the mostly-undamaged Pigeon was recovered, and another truck was drafted in to complete the journey- not having been registered yet, the owner could not drive it back, as much as he wanted to. Beyond all hope of repair or salvage, the Covet and the crashed truck were dumped in the ocean.
