So guys in 20 min Reviews goes up and we can order the new Ryzens. In my case i am coming from the R5 1600. Hopefully enough dudes are buying Ryzen 5000 and are benchmarking soon with BeamNG. For now i cannot decide between 5800X due one CCD gain and 5900X. Cores matter in this game.
I don't think the 5800x is very good value when you can get 5900x for $100 more. I'm interested to see some benchmarks also.
5800X is in certain simulation games 16% faster (minFPS) as the 5900X. Planet Zoo or Anno can be named already. If that continues, Simracing and flight sims get the same jump.
BUT BY THEN THE 4180 AND 69420X WILL BE OUT BRO i would've so happily bought a 3080 on launch day and not even be mad if a 3080 ti released in january, but now that stock is still not in sight 2 months later??? i might not have a choice but to wait for TI...
HAHA Fx 4300 goes brrrrrrrrrrrrrr Here an insider: (Bulldozer) - im your Farther (Pildedriver) - ........NOOOOOOOOOOOO (very sad noises)
I bought the 5900x on launch day. When i get it, i'll definitely do some benchmarks and post them on Youtube. Problem is, i still can't get hold of a 3080, so i'll probably be stuck on a 1070 for the benchmark.
Yeah, thats true. Depends on windows scheduler, how many cores the game access and so on. GPU doesnt matter at this performance level as you turn down Graphics anyway. Dont want to benchmark your 1070 or 3080^^ If you want to, share your youtube link later on here. Waiting for the bench.
The thing is, even at the lowest settings my 1070 is pegging at 100%, which creates a small bottleneck in relative CPU performance.
Alright, here it is - The ultimate BeamNG Benchmark with the Ryzen 9 5900x and an RTX 3080 You can see that BeamNG desperately neeeds more optimization in terms of CPU scaling - Even at 5 cars there's a noticeable performance hit, despite the mere 25-30% CPU utilization. The GPU utilization starts to drop as well. At 30 cars the CPU sits at 50-70%, while FPS drop to 20. Definitely an engine limitation, which i sadly don't expect to be resolved in the near future.
Can you redo the benchmark ? It would be interesting to see the performance changes with the new 0.21 update
