Slightly more powerful engine + manual transmission + limited slip diff = lots o drifting fun.

    good work.

you know what I think is funny though?

You can release this mod and everyone is like "Hey cool wow thanks !"

    and nobody will say

"Hey this mesh is not yours, you didn't create it and its not fair to the owners of the mesh"

Yet you want to use a mesh from another game like Forza or even a game not many people know about and if you're lucky you will get that

"Oh hell no , you must be RUSSIAN, russians are the worst people they rip off meshes and put them in this game, this is a russian mod, don't support russia and make your own mesh you POS"

Then the excuse sometimes can be "Well this game is really old so nobody cares" but I thought the real problem was that it wasn't fair to the owners / creators of the mesh in the first place.

Personally I think its completely fine to use meshes from others games if you don't make money from it, don't claim it as your own, and give the credit to original creator.

I just think its funny / silly how I see half the threads go one way and then another way the other half of the time. That's why I never released my own mods, shit even a screenshot gets people upset.

    Seriously though, good work.

It's partially because he credited the original authors of the model and skeleton/JBeam. Also because pretty much all Russian mods are just models taken from other games and slapped onto one of Gabesters JBeams. Because of that they are extremely unrealistic and deform terribly.

.DTS isn't specific to Torque and it's a model format called Dynamix Tree Space, and can be opened and reexported as a DAE. So he still is distributing the mesh #themoreyouknow

@OP, went a little poly happy on your mesh editing? :p

"Model from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
    Author model Rockstar Games."

Hopefully all the editing was done from you.

Okay, so i'm allowed to release some cars I put into this game on these forums.. I just have to credit myself for the jbeam work and turn10 for the models original author ?

Nope didn't think so , that's what I am talking about... if I did that It would be removed etc. Just funny double standard... I'm all for it whatever just want to point it out.

Yeah thats the attitude here, in reality i've seen some of the best game mods from russians but its okay.

They may LOOK good, but physics wise? nada.

Some of them now are better though.

I agree. I tried your Blista Compact mod, and that one is great as well.

I don't mind converts, I just don't like playing a simulator then crashing and seeing the parts falling of my Forza mesh to reveal a black square behind the bumper that is there just because its better than a big hole. Or seeing my car hit a wall and turn into a ball of spiked vertices springing from every edge of the body :l

This can be done properly but most don't bother.

Can we all just say that no matter what, 90% of all mods made for any game ever at any time are guaranteed to be complete crap not worth even looking at?

I'm grateful people are trying regardless of the outcome. In this instance OP did a great job and I enjoy it. If I don't like a mod I discard it and move on. I have yet to get into doing mods for this game, have you?
