This is true, the engine has shown it’s age, but it’s enough for what Beam is.

I have an RTX 2070 with a Core i7, but the laptop is already having problems within the month that I bought it in. So it might be because of problems with my laptop.

I'd say that's because I-Racing is more of a sim for hardcore fans but BeamNG has a very general target audience. Only dedicated sim racers play iRacing, but, depending on how much RPG elements are in career mode, BeamNG is basically the game everyone has dreamed of at least once. When you are more of a game than a sim and have a general audience instead of a niche audience, things like graphics matter a lot more.

That being said, BeamNG currently can be a very pretty game on the remastered maps with the right monitor settings and tweaking the in game settings a bit.
