First, go to this post on page 125 (here) and download the file. Then, open your "Downloads" folder and your "Documents/BeamNG/mods" folders in separate windows. Lastly, drag and drop the file labeled "toyotaae86_hotfix1.2.zip" from one into the other. When you do this, make sure to drag it into the blank space, over to the right, rather than into a zipped folder. If you drag it into a zipped folder, it will not work. Hope this helps!
If you go back to the first page of the thread and scroll down on the 1st post, you will see the file Then you go in your BeamNG folder, and there will be a mods folder Then all you do is drag the file in and enjoy the AE86
I dragged it into my mods folder but when I go into the game it isnt there. Am I doing something wrong? When the file gets downloaded it goes into winRAR then i highlight all the folders and drag it into mods and it gets sectioned off to vehicles art ui etc.
Im not really sure what that means, when I hit download it goes to the bottom of my screen and then loads into winrar as a couple folders, then highlight all the folders and drag it into the mods folder. I watched a video on youtube and the guy does it the same way. Should I delete winrar? --- Post updated ---
Please see my earlier post. In my experience, WinRAR is a tool that works well for .rar files and other WinRAR only features, but it can be done a lot easier simply using File Explorer.
I believe I got it to work, just when I go to my mods in the game it says description unavailable and no picture but the car loads in. Thanks a lot
yo chill, he's probably like 30 or smth and doesn't have much experience with videogames, nor modding them.
I literally created an account to tell you that this mod was ABSOLUTELY MINDBLOWING. I was getting kinda bored in beam ng, and while smashing my rocket bus against the guardrails, I noticed something, THERE WERE GUTTERS on a stock map! So I thought I could do with a mod for a Trueno, and Voila, one of the most detailed mods I've downloaded. Best of all, I'm not bored anymore!
Idk if its supposed to be like this but the blinker sound is on the outside of the car instead of the inside and the speed chime is also on the outside
