West Coast USA Missing buildings?

I have deleted all mods and tried in safe mode

Tried both and it didn't work

 

Delete both the "C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\BeamNG.drive\levels" and "C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\BeamNG.drive\cache.0.21.0.0"

 

To be honest, it still works as a West Coast map in a different way. Without the buildings, it's like a planned community where construction was suspended after they built the roads, a common sight all over California.

I was able to fix the issue by clearing cache, deleting the "levels" folder in the Documents folder, deleting "west_coast_usa.zip" from the Steam directory, then verifying the integrity through Steam.

If you're nervous about deleting so much stuff, you can just delete the west_coast_usa.zip. That worked for me.

 

Hilarious and so true! So many housing projects just came to a grinding halt in 2006 at the time of the housing bubble burst... and sat vacant for the longest time. Things have finally cranked up again, but projects will continue to have that rather strange start/stop effect.

 

I actually liked driving in this 'version' of the map too. It had a different feel to it. Maybe the community can remake the level as a mod, without the floating bits and missing bridges, of course.
