So any specific noticeable differences in handling since your new tire physics?

In the winter update you added new tire physics involving ground contact and I was wondering if there's any noticeable differences? It's been a while since I last played so I couldn't exactly notice all that much.

Do cars grip better? More/less understeer/oversteer? Anything specific perhaps?

I'm on a steering wheel and yes, i do notice a difference.
Cars behave more realistically at high speeds and cars with extreme power also feel much better now.
The FFB also greatly improved. It responds much quicker and accurate under all conditions.

Sounds like I should plug in my G25 then. What do you mean with high speed handling and cars with higher power?

When turning at high speeds (260km/h+) the car feels much more responsive now (FFB for example). Things like tire deformation are also properly simulated now, which improves high speed handling.

It feels like the cars are a little less slidey now and they seem to grip a bit faster. I've also noticed that race and drag tires feel especially sticky.

I got a sub 9 in pikes peak on a first atempt with the hill climb vivace, my personal best. Tires have been definitely buffed!

I don't know if Ithink they are overperforming now, they might, but the game surely feels more forgiving.

Can anyone say if theres a big difference with bias plys now ? It seems that every one is raving on about the modern tires yet here i am using good ol' crossplys and i haven't been able to test the new update yet so it would be nice if some one could say what to expect with those ones

I brought out a roadsport Barstow for like 2 min, there was as much wheelsping as always. But that's the point, isn't it?

I think the new handling improves come from how the tires perform at the limit, but with crosplys you can effortless go way beyond the limits

Only the well trained can successfully use the big block Roadsport, anyway for the average lesser models on the Bluebuck/Barstow and Moonhawk is the limit reached a lot later because i rather enjoyed the way the crossplys felt at the limit, i knew exactly when to back off or put on more power to get through a curve

Man, you guys remember the days of legacy BeamNG.drive from years and years ago, when just even acknowledging the throttle's existence on the Bolide was literally enough to send you skidding everywhere?

I remember when simply suggesting turning the wheel would snap off the entire front suspension.

Rally covet feels entirely different. Bolide feels more responsive. But still I don't really feel it. What ffb settings are you guys using?

Personnaly, I found it more difficult to drift now, because the steering wheel always want to go at center position.
In "normal" driving I found myself in the wall a lot of time, I don't know exaclty why, maybe it's because of the lack of info from the FFB.
I really found that the FFB is too weak now

I'm having much more trouble with wide, sweeping corners now than I used to. Otherwise, this new update makes cars feel great. AWD cars like the 800 series TTsport + or the sunburst RS feel way less delicate.
Regular cars feel better too, namely on dirt. Standard tires grip a lot better but you can lose that grip quickly.

Massive difference with most drag cars, they naturally want to go in a straight line, not all of them though. And also fast cars with Bias Ply tires are completely uncontrollable now.

My 1600hp drag Moonhawk hardly even spins the wheels once it comes in contact with the sticky asphalt, where as before it would spin them with some difficulty

Compared to 0.20 the Vivace E feels like it has less understeer and the vehicle leans more into the turn than before. Before you would rarely see the side of the forward wheels, now you see them more often when cornering hard.

Handling feels better but it may take a moment to relearn driving at the limit as the vehicle "feels" and react differently.
