I think it would be a cool idea if you could change the tire and rim size by using a slider in the tuning section instead of having to choose it in the parts menu.
That would make the wheel selector a lot less messy, good idea. But the whole tire system would have to be revamped again. Maybe I'll make a mod for adjustable size wheels one day, it would only be certain wheels though, there are too many to do it for all of them.
If they redo the wheel selection (which I would really like) they should have the option to revert to the current one or whatever one was before that. I can't say from personal experience but apparently half the community went apeshit the last time they changed it.
What I'd like to see is a way to preview what the wheels look like. When trying to customize a vehicle, the old "trial and error" method of wheel and tire selection gets tiring fast.
i agree so much with this. Even with all the rims beamng currently has, ive never even bothered to change them once on any car. its so tedious and i cant know anything i put on the car, rims NEED a small thumbnail being shown when you select them.
Jesus god yes. I just want to make the wheels and tires maybe an inch or two larger on my mod, but to do that I have to go thru days of trying to figure out how to make a new wheel to select and have it all work because there’s nothing to teach you how to do it properly. Just make a slider.
The problem with sliders would be that the lug pattern size wouldnt be correct anymore if you simply scale the wheels. Also, the beam values would need to be edited or controlled with changing the diameter and width. Which is less difficult to do.
