    well, before your post there was a bump situation, and well, I don't think anything is happening with this mod anymore. I may be wrong. Welp, we should let this thread chill now.

    As of right now, there isn't anything happening. @Driv3r1142 said he might come back to it but if he does it will be a complete redo of this mod pretty much which to be honest I'm kinda looking for ward to but it will happen when it does.

    bump

    I decided to return to the Vendetta for a bit since my other projects have hit testing standstills;

    As I've said before, it's gonna be a complete redo at this point ;)

    More progress;
    6a92229438c3632a7b992478926e198a.png

    To be honest I was further along with this than I let on with my earlier pictures, having been working on this for the past few weeks off and on... So don't be super surprised that there's such a massive development jump here. This past week was spent working on the doors and laying out the passenger compartment.

    Interior is still WIP, currently trying to plan out what I want to do with it (Being lore friendly and all, I'm trying to make the dashboard somewhat unique too.)

    There will be 3 variants this time around, spanning the 1968-1984/5 model years, each one with its own restyle, interior, and engine changes;
    • 1968-1972; This will be the same old, same old chrome bumper Vendetta/C3 lookalike we're all familiar with. Nothing surprising, will feature a blend of early C3 trimmings from the 4 aforementioned model years.

    • 1973-1977; This will be somewhat like the "Regulation Nation" Vendetta I teased way back at the start... Featuring massive 5MPH crash bumpers, severely under-powered engines, and an awkward facelift that'd make Bill Mitchell turn in his grave, it'll be the hideous C3 that could've been, but was thankfully avoided IRL.

    • 1978-1984.5; This will be the final iteration of this generation of Vendetta, featuring new modern flexible plastic bumper covers, plus a unique facelift aimed at making the Vendetta less of a C3 lookalike, and more of a lore-friendly vehicle in its entirety. Also I intend on using it to cover a major gap in overall game content, since we're currently lacking proper early 80s American performance cars. The real C3s ran from 1968-1982, so it's not that far out of the realm of possibility.

    If you guys have suggestions, I'm interested in them ;)

    Suggestion: police version, idk why but I liked using the Firwood Police Skins Pack with this car before it "broke". And also either remove the offroad version or make it actually realistic.

    Noted ;)The offroad config was a silly afterthought, this time around if I do keep it, it'll most likely be a rally car instead (I saw like one rally converted C3, seems like a cool idea.)

    That was somewhat what I had in mind, the design language will be similar, but won't be exactly the same.

    Anyway, a tad bit more interior progress;

    Gonna try to get some stuff in game tonight; I'm JBeaming the frame and suspension, then modeling the suspension flexbodies later once all the nodes are in the correct place... Can't do anything else on the underside until that's done... Should be fun :)

    Didn't know about that o_O ... I've never looked at the 60s Corvette concept cars that closely. From my perspective it's too dated for the late 70s and early 80s, plus I don't think I could make it work with the first 2 body variants...
    The rear of the actual production C3s and the Vendetta aren't properly wedge shaped to make that work, and the faces of the Regulation Nation Vendetta are gonna be even flatter than the early plastic bumper C3s... So, no I don't think I'm going to do those on this.

    Though I'm definitely looking at the interior of the Manta Ray and getting some ideas...
