Try to remove the exhaust and airfilter holders, exhaust and engine cover. Obviously the tarp is also intensive to run.

I have an i7 6800K with a 4.0GHz overclock to all 6 cores, removing those parts from the truck makes a big difference!.

yeah, iirc basically the way the game works is as long as it doesnt have more vehicles than your cpu has cores it assigns one vehicle to each cpu core, if you go over your amount of cores in vehicles it has to assign multiple to each core and that's when the game starts to really lag, however you wouldnt ever want a powerful single core cpu for beam as you'd get great framerate but only with one vehicle. ideally you want the cpu with the most amount of cores AND the best single-core performance, which always ends up being some of the most expensive cpus on the market
the reason why this vehicle causes so much lag is because of it's massive amount of parts that are all causing stress upon eachother and colliding and having to do all this physics simulation with one core. that's why simplified collision physics increases the fps so much, it stops simulating the stress and collisions between the parts of the truck.
it's a shame beam can't spread a single vehicle over multiple cores, im sure there's some reason but for now it's just what we have to live with

I just have to say, I really appreciate all of you that's leaving helpful suggestions on how to make this mod run better, and not just asking me to dumb the mod down.
Lets look at this as a stress test for future cpu's :)

Oh wow! Ok... wouldn’t have thought of removing certain parts. I’ll have to give that a try. Thanks for the tip.

Ahhh yes, you're welcome! I general try to offer my observations and what I did, in the form of statements; as opposed to complaining in the form of questions. Though some days, even I have my moments.

Just wondering if there is a fix for the gauge lights so they light up. Currently they don’t work.

    Sorry for the bump.
Ive found myself looking for the node count of the big rig so many times in the past few months, and ended up spending like 30 min looking for these pics which shows the amount of nodes the crash hard big rig has.

Just gonna post some basic info about the mod as well while im here. Hopefully someone will find this useful or just interesting as i was when looking thru them.
    Configs name : node # / beam # / triangles #
    BIGRIG_Stripped : 1694 Nodes / 9381 Beams / 2146 Tris
    Cargo Tarp : 3175 Nodes / 17666 Beams / 3625 Tris
Cargo Tarp with "the Big Plow" : 3293 Nodes / 18398 Beams / 3789 Tris
Cargo Tarp with "the Big Ram Plow" : 3255 Nodes / 18160 Beams / 3729 Tris
    Cargo Dirty : 2731 Nodes / 15179 Beams / 3177 Tris
    Cargo Sidepipes : 2521 Nodes / 14059 Beams / 2898 Tris
    Flatbed : 2642 Nodes / 14617 Beams / 3079 Tris
    Flatbed Sidepipes : 2432 Nodes / 13497 Beams / 2800 Tris
    Nocargo Sidepipes : 2327 Nodes / 12847 Beams / 2704 Tris

This is still a beast of a vehicle and i love playing with it, even more since i got my desktop which can handle it better.
Keep on making amazing mods crash hard! you are amazing.

@CrashHard what are your computer specs to be able to run so many of these in the videos?

Hey, I'm wondering if anybody can help me with something involving this mod and the Gavril B-Series mod.
I love the way the wheels and tires on this truck look, and I'm wondering if there is a way I could have these wheels able to attach to other 10-lug hubs, like the T-Series and B-series mod?
I have no experience with modding, so any help on the subject is appreciated. I have been able to locate the jbeam files for both mods, But I am wondering what to do with them to make this possible.

    Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure this has been talked about before. You need to put the wheels Jbeam, model and textures in the common folder and make sure the slotType of them is the same as for the normal 10 lug wheels. I would suggest doing it on a copy of the model, textures and Jbeam in case you messed something up and broke the BigRig.

Ok, so, are these the correct files? do I also need to add the main .json file for the bigrig?
    Capture.jpg
and, where is the location of the correct "common" folder that they should go in? thanks
Edit: I also found the materials.cs file for the bigrig and copied it to the temp folder where i am storing the wheel resources

Yeah these should be the correct ones unless there are some more, the folder should be just vehicles -> common -> wheels, remember to change the path in materials (and make sure the materials file of the truck doesn't break the one of the wheels)

ok, so i went to that location, and the folders for the different wheels that are there all just have the .json file, but im not sure where the other stuff goes.
Im sorry, im not very good at this stuff :(

edit: may hav figured this out. Im going to try to copy the format of crashhards standalone mod that has these tires for other wheels, and then just change the socket type and put them in my mods folder. will update if this works.

edit2: Threw it together and threw the folder into my unpacked, loading up now

Ive gotten it working! however, the front ones are invisible for some reason. any idea for what might be causing this?

Edit: Been working on tweaking stuff in the jbeam files, almost have them perfect!

hey crash hard, if you’ve read my above posts, you will know that I’m working on adapting the wheels from this mod to work on the standard semi hubs. I have completed everything (much thanks to Agent_Y) with getting wheels are attached correctly. I have adjusted nodes to make them correct, and I put the correct files in a folder in the unpacked section of the mods folder, and everything is working great. The problem that I am still having is with the wheel textures. If I spawn the CH 8x8 first, and then put the wheels on the B-series, the textures load fine. But I can’t get the textures to load on their own, likely because I was never able to find the wheel texture file and put them in my separate folder. I haven’t been able to locate the wheel textures (I’m assuming they are a .DDS file) within the CH bigrig mod. Can you pinpoint me to the right spot? this is the last piece of the puzzle, but it’s frustrating me to no end because I cannot solve it! It would be a huge help if you could direct me to the location of the wheel textures. Thanks in advance!

First of all, is this a public mod your working on, or just for yourself? (if it is the first one, would be nice of you to ask before ripping models from a mod i worked a year on)
It is so long since I worked on this mod, I can't remember how I figured out the wheels, but I remember struggling with invisible models as well. If the model is invisible it may be because it dont have enough nodes grouped to it. Or the groups have different names than i used.
