dont worry, this is private. And im not having problems with invisible models (fixed that by adjusting node positions) just the orange no texture stuff. ill dink around with it more in the morning
have you moved the tire texture over to your mod folder? and moved the links to where the textures are in the material file
got the tire textures, and they are loading up fine. I just haven’t been able to locate the wheel textures. I’m going to do a test with a copy of all of the texture files in my folder (again, not stealing, poop you if you steal assets) and see if they load up. --- Post updated --- Ive got everything working like a charm, adjusted offsets, all of the nodes are lined up with the models, And i even turned the rear wheels around the other way to make them look more american military style. It turns out that the super single spindles for the rear axles from the GTG T-series pack have the rear wheel nodes in the perfect spot. However, still have the texture issue with the wheels. Turns out that it's not a missing texture, but rather a missing material. How can I go about finding the material file location, and getting it to load? (I could just load up the Bigrig first every time, but that's kind of annoying since that truck kills my frames lol)
The finished product! Still never figured out how to get the wheel material to load on its own, but as long as I spawn any Bigrig 8x8 config first, they load fine. Thanks for the massive help @CrashHard and @Agent_Y
Okay gang, lets get this thread back on topic. (About bug reporting for the CrashHard 8x8 BigRig mod)
Since my old build with my 5960X wouldnt get a stable FPS figure with this mod before and I knew why (because of the 8C/16T and the amount of beams involved) I redownloaded this mod (SHOCKER I know I would remove this epic mod) for my Core i9-10920X (I know CrashHard has the 10980XE with the 18C/36T while I have the baby brother to it at 12C/24T) so what happened when I installed it.....60FPS happened and it runs like butter utterly smooth this mod now is very much playable on my new system
*Sits in corner with a single core pc that can barely open beamng.* *Also sits with laptop with 2 cores, playing beam on lowest." Lol
Actually more cores won't help in the case of this vehicle because BeamNG simulates vehicles per core, maybe RAM would be more needed. I can run traffic in game just fine but my PC really struggles with this mod, even the stripped configs (maybe also because I always put the dummy in it lol), I had to make my own configs that lag less
Well before I wasnt running XMP settings I was running my memory at the base clock of 2133MHz but since enabling XMP settings I am running at the rated 2400MHz now so why is it a load smoother now than it was before....weird....
Hi, this mod is really hard to run. Maybe because of the high resolution textures. Do you think you will do a light version of the mod?
It's "hard to run" because it has hundreds of different small parts that collide with each other... So there is no way to make it run better other than using just the versions with less parts.
Oh ok the truck looks like having really detailled textures and I thought the mod could be lighter with less resolution textures. Thanks for the answer!
*this isn’t a bug it’s a suggestion* it would be good if there was like a lite version were it can run better on people’s non super computers (like mine lol)
