I'd prefer that, as that way every car has one and only one slot initially, then you get to sort through 3827 configs (although I remember less than that... ;) )

Ehh. Sub-$10K mid-2000s Subarus are more of a mixed bag than it's worth. Go on Craigslist and find an EK Civic or a Camry, it'll be less trouble.

    That's even worse.
    Camry, Corolla, Civic, or Accord.

If your budget is that low for a car you're kinda asking for problems ngl, do not got a cheap BMW and get a honda like lamp said, especially if you don't really need awd

my budget isnt that low, but its not high either. Awd would be a big bonus but its hard to find a cheap car with awd. here is my list

    1. Toyota Matrix. Would prefer Xr models but any one is fine. Preferably a manual, but i can live with an auto. A vibe gt would be fine too, those are considerably cheaper and the high performance model is more common

    2. Subaru Outback/Outback Sport. Love wagons, but a sedan version would be kinda cool. A legacy would be cool but those are harder to find in the US, outback sports are a slight bit cheaper than their impreza twin, but an impreza would be ok too

    3. Acura CL. I find these attractive, and they have been popping up a lot lately for really cheap. Harder to find with a manual. If I'm ready to buy a car and find one at a right price, i would go and check it out

    4. Chevy S10/Ford Ranger. I know this is technically two cars, but they are in the same class and what im looking for. love small trucks, always find them cool and useful. Really the only issue is my size, im 6ft and growing rapidly, so i dont think i could fit in one by the time im ready to buy. Would totally do a mazda b-series, but those are harder to find and are a slight bit more expensive because of the japanese small truck craze

    5. Older Nissan Maxima's and/or sentras. i like the old nissans because it was when nissan was still doing cool things and not cheaping out. older maximas are harder to find in nice shape because they were quick for the time and got beat up. I like the old sentras, especially the se-r. cheapest se-r models are the 2001-2005 models because they are the most common.

Honorable mention(s): Ford Probe/Mazda MX-6. prefer the ford because of the popups, but a mazda would be amazing too. both are hard to find, but the mazda is harder. both of these are hard to find in nice shape, but if you do find one in general, expect to pay $300-$7000 depending on generation, version, and shape.
Honda civic: Civics are cool, but the new ones have been generally boring and the old ones are climbing up in price because of they are "rare." My dad and grandpa were customizing old hondas before it was cool. My gpa had two first-gen civics, an early CRX, plenty of 80's accords, and a lowered and tuned acura legend. My dad's first car was an accord with the popups (i think) and during the 90's he had an EG hatch on coilovers and rims, so they have plenty of knowledge. Like i said earlier, old ones are climbing in value and by the time im ready I probably couldnt afford one nice enough to be daily driven.

Well obviously I'm biased towards Subaru, so I'm gonna have to recommend a subaru as long as you have a good history if its maintenance and follow the criteria I posted previously. This outback I bought had quite a few problems such as the valve cover gaskets, front right Axle, power steering pump, etc. Luckily my friend is a subaru master mechanic so I don't pay much to fix the car up

I like azteks, but they are also climbing in price a bit.
I found one for $2k with the tent but I think it sold
I heard they were maintenance nightmares, so I would buy one if I had time

OT: excited for the legacy wagon. I’ve seen some base models with the rpm gauge removed and it just says Subaru Legacy. Will this be added?

Yeah, this is only on the USDM Brighton models for 1995-2000 legacies. Already made them for the gen 1 and 2 overlanders

Longest post in beamng forums confirmed?

Looks nice keep up the goodwork!
Although I feel like some areas of the bumpers could use some work.

    Example:

    I could be imagining though.
