I'm not sure if it's intended to be so, but the LWB version of the H-Series has no option for a roofrack

the problem with eSBR was not solved, when changing ESC, the display does not change the mode as before

Weird one here, cannot replicate it elsewhere but with this particular D Series custom config (attached) the Off Road Front Bumper appears soft and is oscillating all on it's own?

(copied from - BeamNG User Data\vehicles\pickup)

Also the bed cap glass on the short bed cap is labelled incorrectly (attached), along with the tailights on the Barstow

This is a bug, it also happens when you cruising at higher gear low throttle low rpm(for example 20% throttle 5th gear), if you brake suddenly, the DCT will sometimes coast in neutual but still in gear, even after you release the brake and coast to a full stop(still in 5th gear), then you apply throttle the vehicle will shake violently before the DCT knows what to do and shift to 1st.

The ESC in D/Roamer doesn't come with TCS.

This ESC bug is especially in modern vehicles such as SBR4, Vivace and ETK800. The problem is the ESC measure the sliding angle incorrectly.
The early ESC before the DSE(Driving&Safety Electronics) update measure g-forces and used SRL(single redline) logic, literally every maneuver exceeding 10m/s^2 side acceleration will be interpreted as oversteer

Note: the above screenshot was taken before 0.20

The late or modern ESC (after the introduction of Driving&Safety Electronics) solved the above problem, you can turn at Jupiter gravity with well above 10m/s^2 side acceleration, but it has some new problem.
The ESC in DSE measure the vehicle sliding angle and also SRL(single redline) logic, literally every maneuver exceeding 15 degree sliding angle will be interpreted as oversteer even if the vehicle is understeer

This is not the biggest problem since it works OK on tarmac, just ESC-OFF when driving on gravel.

The biggest problem and all problem regarding turning sharply at very low speed, even driving non-aggressively, the ESC cuts throttle and brake, is the sliding angle calculation is incorrect. It measure the vehicle body angle relative to the trajectory, regardless of steering angle.

Let's take a look at vehicle dynamics.
    Tire contact patch

At higher speeds the deflected tread path slip angle is more than the steering angle, thus the vehicle trajectory is

left turn, steer left, vehicle body right slide.

At very low speeds the deflected tread path slip angle is almost zero, much less than the steering angle, the vehicle trajectory is

left turn, steer left, vehicle body left slide.

    Drifting, opposite lock

Right turn, steer left, vehicle body left slide.

Therefore, if the steering angle and body slide angle are the same "polarity" the ESC will believe that the driver is contersteering because vehicle is sliding(which is loss-of-control on tarmac), then ESC cuts throttle and brakes the corresponding wheel.
Thus when turning sharply at very low speed, the ESC will do this to fight against the imaginary oversteering moment.

Yep, that is intentional. Even though the DCT has no clutch thermals, I did not want to make it abuse the clutches to brake.

Appreciate the thought you are putting into this, but you should really stop selling your posts as if you knew exactly what was happening...
The low speed/high steering angle throttle cutting is actually a function of the traction control. Slip angle calculations are not even active during these scenarios.

Not sure if this was said before but when you crash the roamer, the windshield cracks with a weird texture

I'm pretty sure it's caused by a mod, after I removed some mods it went back to normal, idk which one does this

I would be most interesting if you or another dev would make a dev blog about the inner workings of

    • ABS
    • TCS
    • ESC
    • E-Diff
    • ActiveLocking differential
    • Adaptive dampers
    • Torque vectoring differential
Honestly, I find it quite sad that you spent a lot of research and codework on this stuff and then all we ever get as information is

    "we added it".

And while a people might have a general idea of what it does precisly, having an in depth explanation about it and its effect on the game would be highly appreciated.

As was discussed here early, ESC sometimes acts weird at slow speeds. Only after restarting engine all ok.

Yea, the problem as always... Time... :( There are so many things going on at the same time, both extremely exciting and more "normal" work, it's difficult to to fit in stuff like this. (Technically there is a two blog post series planned just on the new "DSE" things...) But yea, can't promise anything atm :)

I'm not 100% sure about it, and it also might not really be a bug- I'm actually not really sure what exactly is wrong, but definitely something is:
    20210116012024_1.jpg
This is the GFX menu in safe mode.

    20210116012329_1.jpg
This is the menu in normal mode

    The PostFX button is missing.
That button also seems to have a lot of broken features. The "revert" also seems to be broken on it

I think you're just opted out of experimental features in safe mode to make sure they're not causing problems.

    Bug reports:

    screenshot_2021-01-15_23-23-44.png

The chrome trim rings are mispositioned inside of the 6-Lug 14x7 4-Slot black steel wheels. This issue does not affect the gray variant of the same wheel.

    upload_2021-1-16_12-17-14.png upload_2021-1-16_12-20-45.png

The roof rack of Roamer (both regular and extended body) behaves oddly in the vehicle selector, appearing as an empty drop-down box. The same problem exists with ladders and pipes on H-series roof rack.

    screenshot_2020-12-18_13-35-08.png

This driveway near entrance to JRI industrial site leads to wall of building with no door.

    Feedback:

The new skin for the box upfit on the H-series and D-series looks great, but I think it would be nice to add at least two more. There should be one that continues the H-series' delivery livery, and one that matches the 'BeamNG' livery on the Dry Van Trailer would be useful for promoting the game itself.

    screenshot_2021-01-16_12-29-00.png

I'm a little surprised that the roof cargo basket isn't an option on the extended-body Roamer or H-series. Wouldn't those be ideal vehicles to mount one on?
