Is he going to make a new camry?

 

I doubt it - the only reason this mod is still around is a hotfix I made, so I don't think he's maintaining it, let alone making another one.

 

thats kinda sad, this mod really needs some work re-done to it

 

What kind of work are we talking? I might be able to do/learn more...

 

some of the smaller things such as working indicators on the dashboard with sounds, maybe a horn aswell? just small adjusting as for some reason. the stock camry v6 can reach a whopping 170 mph

 

as a matter of fact i was one of the original people who ported this car..
and I say ported because the mesh and textures were taken from a gta 4 mod and slapped initially onto a grand marshal jbeam, then a sunburst.
either way, this mod is nothing more than a meshslap with some slight effort put into it. the dash does not function, the textures are all questionable, it isn't accurate to the irl car in any way, the model is all joined together, the glass doesn't break properly, the jbeam is outdated and poorly edited, I could go on

the point is, there isn't really any incentive in putting any more work into this "mod" as both of the original creators have abandoned it an actual rework would take the same amount of work as completely redoing the mod from scratch.

It is an somewhat an edited meshslap, and there are certain people who don't like them

It was originally a sunburst that has been edited to shape.

 

Are using an ibishu engine? Because i go free cam & go inside the engine & there's an IBISHU V6 note but if i go on top of the engine there's a Toyata Camry Engine Head.

Yeah, especially as Ibishu and Toyota are nearly synonymous, it's only a slightly edited engine model - good eye though

 

Would this be the wrong place or time to request a 2003 Toyota Corolla?
I have one as my daily driver, and while it's not my dream car, the car certainly is very very reliable and does exactly what an appliance of a vehicle should do.
There's an 03 Corolla mod for 'City Car Driver' that has this exact car, but I couldn't find a way to extract the files from the game itself into something I could work with on here.
Maybe you know how to do this @CaptanW ?
It doesn't have to be this week, this month, or even this season. Consider it if you have time, but if you don't it's all good I don't hold grudges.
Oh, and yes, yes I do enjoy this mod even if some people call it a 'mesh slap'. It's a Camry, they're everywhere, and lots and LOTS of people have them & likely would enjoy driving it on here. It's a whole lot better than nothing, and seeing as I can't really edit vehicles or make them (I do maps only!) it's a lot better than I could do.

 

Indeed the creator is. But it used to be the really old d-series engine note.

 

This is probably not the best place to suggest a '03 Corolla, as this is mainly focused on the '07 to '11 Camry.
Ideas & Suggestions would be a whole lot better.

 

Should I make an update for this and then post it here (with author permission)?

I already started on my main plans (adding working UVs) but I'd like to see what the community thinks before finishing something almost nobody might download.

 

sure! that would be great to see this old mod being revived. Im pretty sure that a lot of people will thank you for that
