    Hello together,
If you change in the Options the mesh quality on lowest, then they are some trasnparent bolcks. For example in dry rock Island, because of this is the game in this option unplayebale :(. I hope somebody can fix this :).

This happens on grid map too. There are no ways to fix this. If your PC is slow at least set mesh to low.

That's probably the reason he posted it in bug reports...

I'm not sure why anyone has mesh setting on lowest. It really doesn't effect your framerate and just causes glitchyness.

If all it causes is glitchyness with no performance improvement it shouldn't really be in the game...

It's not really a bug. It's meant to do that when mesh is on lowest.

It is actually, on lowest mesh detail the meshes should at least have a low quality model that represents their high quality counteraprt, even if the post had to be 2 polygons and 2D

It does affect your framerate drastically depending on the GPU, due to number of polygons and vertices being rendered. It can be the difference between playable and unplayable.

If your GPU can't handle the amount of polys on Low, 1999 wants your GPU back.

    Seriously, I just tested this in my netbook;

    Intel GMA 2000

Gets ~2FPS with mesh on Highest

Gets ~2FPS with mesh on Lowest

what map? if it's on grid map, then of course it doesn't affect anything, there's nothing for it to affect but the vehicle mesh

Grid map, the one with the jumps, offroading area, blocks, tubes and hills. There's certainly enough polygons to test on that map (and my netbook can't handle anything more)

    1.Load up Grid Map
    2.Press J
    3.Press Ctrl F
    4.Rotate Camera around car

You'll notice that as the camera points to the tubes and jump, your FPS goes down, and when the camera points at a blank area your FPS goes higher. Test this on Pure Grid and your FPS doesn't move at all. Try it.

This is because the extra polygons and textures and lighting are straining the GPU, thus there is a difference between the two

Mesh quality makes a significant difference for me, 14fps grid map default settings, 24 with low mesh quality.
