Mine works perfectly fine and It looks just like the one in the video... you need to max the graphics Mine looks like this:
The mod is great! I like everything about your config, except that I did increase the DOF focus range a bit for personal preference, having the blur so close was a bit harsh on the eyes for me, but everything is great! And, as a bonus, I actually gained some FPS from this! I could previously only get a maximum of 60 FPS on jungle rock island on high graphics settings, but now i can max out between 80 and 90 FPS in some spots of the map! really great job!
Awesome! Yeah the DOF focus range is set quite close, youre not the first one doing that change so might change that in the mod itself, if more ppl do it. You honestly gained fps?! Wow, thats not bad. I guess my own specs are too damn old to make any significant change
Nice mod, it makes the shaders look better, but there's 1 issue.. Look at the PNG i sent, all red cars i spawn become this weird half orange! I disabled all other mods, reinstalled the mod and set the PostFX settings correctly, but this bug still appears! Does anyone know how to fix it?
A 6-year old MSI B150M Gaming Pro motherboard (my current bottleneck) Intel quad-core I5-6600k processor with coolermaster CPU air cooler 16 GB HyperX ram, 3000mhz (clocked to 2333mhz, limited by motherboard) AMD Radeon RX470 Powercolor GPU --- Post updated --- yeah, might have been because i had screwed with the postFX settings previously, but im not sure
I haven't downloaded this yet, but what happens when Beamng updates? Will it just stop working or will It be fine? Also when the next version AL comes out, would I just replace the old AL files with the new ones or would I have to fully reinstall Beamng?
im not sure about updates, but it shouldnt change document folder files, you may just have to re-apply the preset. and no, you dont have to fully reinstall beam when an update comes, you just replace the old files in documents/beamng.drive
You need to activate Advanced Menu Options or something like that, can be found in one of the options menus. I was under the impression that it was on by default but apparently not. --- Post updated --- Completely depends on whats in the update. Usually they dont update anything graphics wise, which would effect this. What will be effected is if they add content to a map. I recommend deleting the "levels" folder or even the complete content from the AL zip (art, levels, shaders folders and also the postfx file if you so wish). I usually update this mod a few days after. Why the levels folder you might ask. Because i change one thing on each vanilla map and that is brightness, which by default is 1 and i change it to 3. Other than that the Art folder contain texture and settings changes to the sun flares, rarely effected by official updates. The Shaders folder contains changes to the shader code, rarely effected by official updates but i recon something big is down the line (dont quote me on this though) cause ive seen references to files which seems to have something to do with shader or render changes. One of those references is to a tonemap file named "ACES fitted" which just happens to be the one ive used for a year or so, although ive never seen someone reference it as "fitted" before, afaik its just me that does that on a file name when i forget to delete that specific file from the shaders folder
What am i doing wrong? I followed the steps exactly, i've even uninstalled the game multiple times. Thanks!
Not sure what has happened there mate but if you followed the instructions exactly, no other graphics mod installed and even reinstalled your game then it just should work. Cant really say much more than that
Did you download AL11.zip? Did you clear your cache by either using the launcher or deleting the latest cache-folder in Documents/Beamng.drive? Extracted the files (art-folder, levels-folder, shaders-folder, AL11.postfxpreset) from that zip and placed them in Documents/Beamng.drive? Clicked the POSTFX-button in Beamng.drives Options menu and then loaded the postfxpreset-file? If so it should work
Hey, I was just wondering if it would be possible to make the shadows softer when the cloud density is higher or if it is mid-day?
