How do you know they are not working on 2 vehicles at the same time though? The Wendover is the only one we know about but maybe at the same time there's a WIP modern american supercar... probably not that but just a new modern car would be good enough to me.
beam probably needs more modding tools like a 3d jbeam editor tbh. besides we still need a modern proper mid engine supercar and not the sbr4
Because the dev team is small. They have split vehicle development into remastering old content and finishing the Wendover. I assume their resources would be stretched too thin if they diverted people to work on a 2nd new car that requires a ton of research.
The team has been split into 3 sub groups as far as we know for awhile now. One working on the new car, one working on remasters, and one on the superbuilds. We currently don't know what will take the place of work flow previously dedicated to the crawlers. Maybe another superbuild, or maybe they will focus on the other 2 things. Regardless of that conversation, the Piccolina/Bluebuck/FCV were all released with only on update downtime between them. It's perfectly possible (likely even) that we will get the Wendover this spring and a new car for Christmas
They can always just remaster the Civetta to make it look newer --- Post updated --- But yes, it's takes a big chunk of time to make new stuff for the game.
Performance wise it's barely a sports car or maybe not even that, it was advertised as a supercar but shouldn't be considered as one imo. If it had the twin turbo from factory then maybe, it looks cool but doesn't drive like a supercar should.
it wasnt crazy or anything, but with racing tires and a supercharged v6, it was quick. it handled ok but was kinda bad because of the swing axle rear suspension. i fixed most of it with the racing springs from wbimp by stiffening them almost all the way
I don't think any "sports car" is capable of achieving 450km/h top-speed like the SBR4 can; it's basically a super car in disguise
Then again the speed figure is a bit unrealistic, also 450 kph is with a lot of power. The normal s2 has around 400hp, not supercar level.
