Alright, so here we are. I have an idea for what I'm going to be making.. and it's going to be a Japanese SUV.
It's going to be a small crossover, based on the Subaru Forester. It is NOT going to be the newest generation but the previous one with some aspects of the newest gen.
I also want to add a rebadged version for Ibishu, or Honda, because Ibishu only has ONE SUV and it's an offroad style car.
More announcements will be made soon but I think we'll have a minivan or long wheel base roughly based on this car.
I have no idea to what the name is going to be for the Hirochi or rebadged Ibishu. (text was subsequently changed following a similar post for the Subaru Outback featuring the same name I had originally wanted)
Do note that this is my first mod so there will be bugs and I'll try to fix them.

**The starting and finish date of this mod has been pushed to Fall-Winter of this year and Summer-Fall of next year, due to some new information given by the community.**

This is the 5th thread today that’s something along the lines of: ok I have this idea on how to make a mod but I don’t know how to do it at all someone do it for me ok thx. And then posts 0 progress photos and ends up making an automation car. No offense but, that’s how this works.

Well my friend, I'm not asking for help. I'm asking for support.
I'm actually watching tutorials on HOW to do this using Blender. (Including yours :)))
One of the biggest problems I've had with BeamNG is automation cars. Its just not realistic.
And some of the cars I've wanted on BeamNG are more Japanese cars, and that's why I'm making them myself.
So, I'd really appreciate if some of the community's support, instead of hate driven at me.
The reason I haven't given photos is well, I haven't STARTED. This idea was thrown at me a few weeks ago, and I did some research for WHAT car I wanted to make during that time.
So, I'd really appreciate if some of the community's support, instead of hate driven at me.

i can understand that, it's just that people usually expect progress/unveil type threads like this to at least include some progress, like a mesh or something
it's really common for people to just post threads like this and then get mad when people question the content/whether it will actually exist, so that explains those replies

Mk, thanks. I'm new to this community, so I don't have much of an idea of how it works.

If you are just getting started learning blender, don’t try and make a mod. You need to learn how to model correctly in the program before anything. Blenderguru makes good tutorials, follow the donut and chair one. Once you’ve learned how to model decently in blender you should take a few vehicle design courses. The sketch monkey is very good for this, but there’s other sources. *then* you can take a course on modeling cars in blender and *then* you’ll be very well suited to model your own car fully from scratch, dev quality. Only takes maybe 6 months to learn everything.

Oh yeah and then you have to figure out how to make it work in game. Have fun with that, since you have to figure out almost everything on your own.

Making a car mod takes anywhere from 1-2 years usually, and it’s a lot of work.

    UPDATE - 02-28-21
Development on the Hirochi Oyama/Ibishu Sora (I picked the names, Oyama, or Mount Oyama, is a mountain in Japan and Sora is sky) has started! I am only starting to learn how to use Blender so it'll be a very.. very... very slow start.

    wooooooooo
