Hi everyone! For some time I am wondering why are there still no lights inside the car. For example when driving at night you can barely see anything. What do you think?
how are your graphics settings? if lighting is set to “lowest”, then light beams won’t show at all --- Post updated --- oh wait, realised this was a suggestion and not an issue a small handful of mod cars have toggleable interior lights, it should be easy enough to implement into a stock vehicle (just a lua script and a glowmap, maybe a mesh edit) however, i don’t think it’s a high dev priority, if at all
Ye I've got everything at max settings and still got lots of headroom in the gpu. Im not really sure what is happening as everyone keeps saying devs have other priorities, I'm curious what. Not hating just asking. As those features seem like one of the more important attention to detail.
it’d be difficult to retrofit something like that to vehicle unibodies, and it would probably invalidate a lot of mods if it meant modifying the jbeam plus, it’s ultimately a niche thing, the devs are working on improvements to the physics engine, additional content, and other more important fixes
Sorry for the late reply, but this is probably the most recent thread for this topic. Now that Beam.NG devs are beginning to implement more realism features like opening doors, etc, I could see the devs throwing some interior lights in the mix. So, I guess we just cross our fingers and maybe ask them personally.
Doesn't the vertex have them? or is it a light that casts no actual light? And the vivace with the interior glow?
Those don't illuminate the interior properly like an interior light should, they barely give out any light to the surroundings
I saw a picture of the Procyon Centauri interior one time with lights that do actually lights up the inside, so I’m not completely sure about that
