So im opening the dds files in blender and png files so I can see where to map the faces but when I open them I cant tell what anything is. Is there any way that I can see the textures all together?

i Cant tell what I'm looking at the textures don't have detailed color like the sunburst texture does. And it makes it hard to tell what I'm putting the faces on.

the diffuse texture is just black spots and I cant tell what I'm mapping the faces in blender to. Its like I have to guess.

most of the vivace's textures are either black or gray, except color detail.

everything that ends with "d.color" are diffuse maps
    "n.normal" are normal maps
"r.color" are reflectivity maps (more alpha/transparency = more reflectivity iirc)
    "s.color" are specular maps

"EV" is all the electric stuff
    "engine" is the engine
    "mechanical" is the drivetrain/suspension
    "lights" are the lights
"mechanical_rally" is, well, the rally stuff

I mean everything is pretty much self-explanatory, I don't really understand what the issue is here

It's literally the first thing you see lol.
Also you can just import the dae into blender and check which materials a specific part uses.

That's because the game changes the color of the texture. How else do you think the color selector works?

The best way to do it is to copy the normal map onto a new layer ontop of the color map and making it translucent imo.
You just have to delete it again when exporting.
