Custom idle sound?

I am currently in the process of doing custom sounds for an Automation car mod. Everything else has gone rather well so far, but there is no idle sound, despite the idle RPM being higher than one of the sound files. Is there any way to change this?

 

Make the idle sound pitch lower in your sound editing software
