Hmm. I don't really see a point in adding it in, but I guess it could work if you are going fast on a highway with a lot of other cars.
The first time I played with headphones with that update I was so impressed by how well that sounded. I wish it was possible to have some settings for it though, like what percentage of the sound goes to the right and what to the left headphone on what angle on average, my left ear hurted because of it lol
YES - this is a big issue for me. Headphone support was taken out of the middleware system quite a few years ago now, and there is no easy fix... but it is certainly on my "radar" and have been experimenting. The issue is the sound system expects your left speaker to be around 30 degrees left of centre and the right, 30 degrees right - and of course it pans sound in that way. Headphones are of course 90 degrees left and right, and that's the issue.
I could really do with a volume control for this (or a hint for what file contains potential volume scale for it... ) cause my audio setup (read: TV speakers) are really not fit for it and i can barely hear it at all
I'd like to have several audio options sliders frankly. This game will always be quieter than your general racing type game, as we need a more realistic dynamic range. --- Post updated --- Not really a woosh - but what you do hear is reflected sound from the tyres bouncing back at you when you pass objects of a certain size. If you think about driving past road traffic cones, you hear a fast series of reflections from each cone - quite a cool effect. Thats what our planned reflection system should deal with.
Yes, because as you go by objects at high speed you compress the air around them and it goes whoosh. I guess. I’m no expert tho
yeah. And seriously, I looked at TDK's website and he really knows what he's talking about. Seriously amazing stuff he's got going on there.
