A factory overclocked Asus Strix GTX 1060 which i also overclocked it a little more, paired with a i7 10700K it sure is a workhorse on the side too (not on par as the new AMD 5X lineup of cpus, but it's really good in its own terms) My system can run BeamNG at about 80fps +-, and thanks to the cpu it can handle traffic up to 28 vehicles without stressing it at around 40 fps give or take depending on how detailed one map is. All in all it's a fine system with only the gpu and a 1080p monitor being a limiting factor in all of it.
I'm going to be getting another gpu soon and I don't want to run into the same issue I'm having with my current gpu. Any ideas for a different amd radeon graphics card either a 6gb or 8gb version but still reasonably priced. I would like to play for a few hours at a time so I can try almost everything this game has to offer.
Iirc GPU benchmark web site has a useful metric "performance per $" However, gpu prices are really high rn because of mining boom
Yeah, I use https://gpu.userbenchmark.com --- Post updated --- According to them, the highest value AMD GPU is the AMD Radeon RX-580 at $240, and comparable performance to your current GPU @bandita52
I did some more troubleshooting and searched online for some possible solutions to my problem and one thing that I tried was disabling my sound and turns out that I had amd and Realtek running at the same time. I disabled both and then ran the game no problems and just using the Realtek sound so I was able to play for a longer duration.
In december I got Evga 3080 FTW3 ultra within week of order, that fun lasted less than 3 weeks and fan went bad on it, I just ended up refunding it and got order on this msi few days before prices started to skyrocket, took about 5weeks to get this one, has been better than evga in every way.
Hugely depends on map and spawned cars but with 1440p resolution pretty much everything maxed out bounces between 70-165 with one car, usually bit over 100
