I was trying to add AI pathing in this map and it gave me an Access Violation. Does this means this map doesn't allow AI?
Hi, today I decided to update the map: Fixed some errors and mistakes in json files, Fixed warning/no texture materials, Fixed the terrain, Updated some textures, Added ai road, Added time trial, Faster first loading. Please delete the older one and clear cache before using this mod. Enjoy
added better textures for the terrain and road surfaces, the roads and the roadlines are more reactive to the light now, added lights and lightposts to some places for better night visibility (the track is not fully illuminated for the sake of reality), enjoy
Yo! Juste to let you know you just forgot to rename the path in both files big_lightpole.prefab.json & big_lightpole2.prefab.json ( \levels\lemans\art\shapes\buildings\ ) resulting in a pink "No Material" instead of the big lightpoles along the track. The path should be : "/levels/lemans/art/shapes/buildings/big_lightpole.DAE" instead of "/levels/knjazevac/art/shapes/buildings/big_lightpole.DAE"
Whoops, thanks for the detailed bug report, I usually test these mods in safe mode before sharing but this must have got away. Here, it's fixed now:
That was fast ^_^ . And the issue with the strange green texture (semi transparent or missing, idw) aroud some curves is still the same as in the original map version (I think it was even worst on the og map, with a "No Texture" showing), but I didn't find how to fix it :
Oh, that issue needed a deeper fixing, the material name from dae (because the map maker named it just "green") was conflicting with the game materials, I tried to fix it from the ingame material editor but looks like it needed a better solution. Wow! You're the best! Now I'll have to remake my LeMans combo-track archive with the updated one ^_^ I've also noticed some translucent textures on some buildings and road signs along the track, but that's barely noticeable when driving fast :
The porting was done with the old world editor (depreciated in 12.2021), some things are not fixable with the current editor (there is some ghost materials that you can't edit) until the dae files reinsterted in different folder structure. I'll look in to it in the future.
Hey, don't know if your still making updates to the map but on the T1, T2 and T3 chicane there is a texture problem with the curbs.
