Why do you have an older build of the game? You do know that the latest version of the mod will only work on version 0.20 and later if you read the changelog. The DirectX 10 build is unsupported, so please update your copy of BeamNG.

He knows the DirectX version and he stated he is on 0.14 which is provided as a beta branch, suggesting he might be using one.

 

In my haste, I forgot to take into account that CapriceVsFalcon might have been using the 0.14 build available in the beta branch on Steam. So my apologies if my message earlier was a bit too stern. If you're reading this, @CapriceVsFalcon, are you using 0.14 because your PC's GPU does not support DirectX 11? If so, then you have two options: upgrade your PC by purchasing a DX11-compatible GPU (assuming the rest of your PC specs are relevant), or by downloading an older version of the mod (version 1.5.05 is the latest version for the 0.14 build) on the repository.

Option 1 is highly recommended because not only will you be able to use the latest version of the mod, but you are also able to run the latest version of the game and receive subsequent updates in the future. You can score a decent DX11-compatible GPU for under $200 on Amazon or eBay.

Option 2 is only when you are unable to upgrade your PC and you are stuck with where you are. But keep in mind that if you also want the expansion pack, then you'll need to locate a copy that's compatible with version 1.5.05 somewhere on the internet. Ultimately, though, you're missing out on the latest version of the game if you choose to go through this route.

However, if your current GPU supports DirectX 11, then as I stated earlier, I'd advise you to update the game. Especially if you bought BeamNG on Steam, you can update it with one click of a button.

 

Option 1 is also hard because of all the cryptomining lunatics and the pandemic-related chip shortages. If you need a new GPU, look for a used 900 series card from Nvidia or some form of pre-RDNA Radeon card

Honestly getting your hands on a GPU is going to be tricky - if the scalpers and bots are anything to go by. I mean, I was lucky to get my RTX 3060 at $499 (granted, supposed to be $329 at retail, but that is an increase I can live with)

 

Make sure you have the orginal CODENAME OLDSFULLSIZE mod downloaded

 

Oh i found a graphics card at my office because sombody didnt need it and it is compatible with dx11 so i think i could try this mod

Unfortunately all emergency lights appear grey and unusable for me, I deleted all old files and reinstalled everything.

Edit: Right after typing this I cleared the cache and everything works just fine.

 

I AM CONFUSION! I have many mods, my game is up to date, my cache is a mess and my lightbars work perfectly. What am i doing wrong? I want gray lightbars too!

 

I have this really weird issue, When I try to spawn one of the caprices or the regency or the delta 88, it just spawns an invisible version of the car I was driving before, I have turned off all mods and cleared the cache and I still get this
