The legran is absolutely not one of the A platform boats, look up the Olds Fullsize mod or a chevy caprice for some A body action. The legran is a little FWD H body and you know it

All of the Oldsmobiles from that pack, and also the Chevrolet Caprice and Impala, are either B-bodies or C-Bodies afaik. Someone experienced correct me if I'm wrong. They are obviously WAY larger than the LeGran. But still the LeGran "fits" them for some reason despite being so tiny compared to them.

Are you just trolling or something?..

Yup, that mod is mostly B-Bodies with a couple C-Body cars. Big boaty BoF longitudinal V8 FR full sized cars with nothing in common to the LeGran/FF A-Bodies other than being volume 1980's GM inspired. It's honestly much closer to the Bluebuck as that's in many ways a '63 B-Body.

The Moonhawk is basically a FR GM A-Body with the LeGran being pretty much completely a FF GM A-Body clone.

If we can't agree on the legran having an H frame, you can't disagree that the legran has the exact same profile as a 9th gen 88. If you wanna actually look at the car I'm talking about, it's the '86-'91 and it even has the same taillights and rims. It of course has similarity to other cars, but they're a greater departure

The H-body is a fullsize platform. The cars ingame are not clones of real life vehicles. Instead they take inspiration and styling cues from other cars available at the time. The LeGran is very similar to an A-Body car. The size, class, suspension setup, dimensions, and engine offerings roughly align with what you would find in an A-Body car of the same years.

    Please explain how. With specifics.

    Size/Market class:
LeGran: Midsized Volume ("America's Best Selling" tagline in the release video)
A-Body: Midsized Volume (One of them was America's best seller in '86)
    H-Body: Fullsize luxury

    Engines:
    LeGran: 2.2L i4 / 2.5L i4 / 3.3L V6 / 3.8L V6
A-Body: The above options and others
    H-Body: 3.8L V6 only for most cars with an occasional 3.0L V6

Everything else: Still more similar to the A-Body than H-Body.

You are slightly mistaken, as it is the A-Platform (see here)

Since this argument has come up again I may as well post this.

Some BeamNG cars are fairly unique (such as the SBR or Piccolina) and while the LeGran still isn't based entirely on one exact car, it is much closer to its real life counterpart than many other cars in this game.
The styling both inside and out aside from the front fascia are extremely similar to that of the A-Body 1985-1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. They even have a similar range of production years (the LeGran was supposedly made from 1984-1988) and the Bruckell emblem used on it is similar to the one Oldsmobile used at that time.

    Reference pictures:
    50fuug.jpg 50fuws.jpg 50fuys.jpg

It's not identical but it is extremely similar, not only visually but in terms of model years and drive-train as well.

As in "body" vs "platform"? That Wikipedia article you linked goes back and forth between the two terms.

Good pics, I've never been able to line up shots like that.

I certainly find it interesting to compare in game cars to IRL examples. Some (such as the LeGran/Wentward/Hopper) are incredibly similar to real cars, some are very strange combinations (Piccolina is a combination of 2 fairly different cars and the SBR is completely out of left field), and most things are somewhere in the middle

I had no idea platform generations were a thing, but I see I wasn't the only one lol. At least seems like I was correct with the Oldsfullsize being B- / C-body.
