Will there be a possibility for realistic tire damage and heat for beamng drive? In real life if a tire pops and you drive on it the rubber will eventualy shred off and you will be down to that and if you continue to drive on the rim, it will get smaller until it cannot support the weight of the car anymore and collapse, causing tons of sparks and making the car smoke if lots of sparks are flying, also from the rim itself under acceleration. Will this ever come to beamng drive? That would be amazing

Sorry for the bump. IIRC, the devs said that they're very much interested in implementing tire thermals and wear, but it's still a long way off. We already have contact patch simulation from the latest update, but there's more to it than that. Creating a system where tire friction and hysteresis affect tire heating, which along with ambient heat and heat flow from external sources causes temperature to increase and reach equilibrium, altering tire pressure and mechanical properties such as adhesion, which loop back and affect friction in the first place, which in turn is further altered by the above contact patch simulation, all while under the constraint of a number of nodes forming collision triangles, is a ridiculously complex task indeed.

Already possible if you have enough horsepower. It's the easiest to do on vehicles with small wheels.

that's because they are spinning so fast they explode due to centrifugal forces.

We want heat based wear/destruction here.
