Thanks anyway. Pass it on to whoever does decide, the demand is here and we are big fans! --- Post updated --- Official theme song for BeamNG 0.22
Look very, very closely at the front seats in these two cars. They are somewhat different from the ones that are already in-game, being lower, narrower, rounder and with more bolster. I think I might be the first to notice this?
A camera-gimmick based walking mode was initially used back in summer 2020 or so. I don't think we showed it publicly anywhere - it had many limitations and fakery going on of course... but it served its purpose before this proper physics-based system replaced it.
i don't mean to take the walking mode conversation and throw it in the trash, but i'm hoping for a little detail: when you turn off a car, especially in the wendover, the electronics shut off, because that would be much more realistic
I realize that this is, well, more suggestion than anything else, but giving all of the cars startup sounds/beeps/bongs now that the player can enter/exit them might be worthwhile. On modern cars, the gauges are always illuminated, so maybe blanking them when the car is off would be a good idea. I realize that this is likely the wrong thread for this suggestion, but it would be much appreciated if it gets some consideration. Thanks for all the hard work! I’ve always wanted to leave the car, and I’m glad to see that it’s going to be a reality. I believe that the update is going to be later on, possibly at the beginning of the summer with the Wendover. I doubt that the walking mode is complete or big enough to warrant a major update of its own.
That is not what the evidence would suggest. The Wendover seems to be mostly done, as does the LeGran remaster
i agree; the 0.22 update should optimistically be out next week and realistically be out within a week or two of that
I am a little ඞsus that we don't hear the engine sounds in the videos, either the video is muted or the engine isn't turned. Thinking there may be some sort of engine sound improvement.
It really could be just me but I didn't hear any sounds in the video. Like none, at all, not even the vehicle creaking or any wheelspin I think the video might just be muted but it might just be a me problem
That's the ABS/ESC in action, not a bug lol. Here's a perfect example of this in action. In this case, it's ESC.
To me the Wendover's interior looks like it was heavily influenced by the 1988 Buick Regal and 1990 Oldsmobile Trofeo, as it seems to be a combination of the two interiors 1988 Buick Regal: 1990 Oldsmobile Trofeo: On the topic of the 1990 Oldsmobile Trofeo, it and the Wendover have very similar rear styling as well:
