The Arizona crater, build in BeamNG Drive yea, I tried to make a map, and that's the thing I've came up with, a crater. It's still in Alpha (not beta), but I decided to make it public, so I can receive feedback, to make the map better. And here is the Progress thingy, nearly everone has. IT'S STILL BROKEN! Updatelog: v. 0.2 I've fixed the no terrain bug, I hope. Red: Not even started Yellow: In Progress Green: Done --------------- Texturing --------------- Adding Objects --------------- Optimization --------------- Make more versions --------------- Get it ready, to work with ---------------
Re: Meteor Crater Original stuff is good. I will give it a try tonight. Is there a track or just explore?
Re: Meteor Crater v. 0.1 Alpha Thats cool I like off road. I am just about to release my first map as well. I think a lot of these maps will be fun with the oculus rift. It might be cool to add some eerie sounds or something unique. Maybe some large crystals or something as well.
Re: Meteor Crater v. 0.1 Alpha This map is simply awesome :3 I have absolutely zero complaints (thats rare)
Re: Meteor Crater v. 0.1 Alpha Actually some pools of smoking green goo, like radiation would fit as well. Maybe have a clicking sound when ever you get close like a radiation detector. (I am a big fallout fan)
Re: Meteor Crater v. 0.1 Alpha It doesn't work. Move "art/terrains/Meteor Crater/GridMap.ter" to the level folder and change the path to match in the .mis file.
Re: Meteor Crater v. 0.2 Alpha I hope that the bug is fixed now, if it doesn't work, than please write it here.
Re: Meteor Crater v. 0.2 Alpha You've got the terrain, but there's still a problem And textures are broken. I'm colorblind so I didn't notice from a distance.
Can anyone, that have downloaded the 0.2 v. report to me, if they have the same bug as the comment above this one ? Because I didn't see any bugs in my test client.
This map is major league broken. From my experience when starting a map from another map tons of files need to be renamed ie: "Gridmap" files need to be renamed "MeteorCrater". If you don't do that when you open "MeteorCrater" the game is still looking for the "Gridmap" level. Also, it's advisable to create a new level file early on in the process. There are great tutorials on Youtube for this. Good luck! Once you get everything working it's quite rewarding. BTW, I was thinking of making a map like this. Hope this helps.
