A little project I've been working on. End goal is to have a modernized variant of the Legran (To a point; not going to change the basic body lines, a la Buick LeSabre, have no intention to create a rounded body car, though might round the edges a bit.) Also included is a ~2007 year model GM Truck shifter (been wanting to make one for a while, and decided why not lol) (plus a variant with +/- Manual Mode controls; will be making my own engine/transmissions for this also), full Aero style Fascia; Front(done)/rear(WIP), Projector Headlights w/ DRL (soon), LED Tail Lights with Fibre-Optics, Digital Dashboard (Mostly Done; permission request pending, if not I will need to make my own HUD for it), infotainment center with GPS, revised dashboard (haven't started yet).
Preliminary In-Game Shots; Lots of work needed. Note: Dashboard HUD is CarKiller's. Waiting for permission request to go through. Failing permission to use that, I will attempt to create my own. Edit: I am apparently still considered a "new" user here, so each of my posts has to be approved by a mod before becoming visible. Expect responses to any questions to take days.
really cool, but 2005 is a really late year. by that point cars had gotten really round, so you may want to do like a late pessima front end style and stuff This iis what a midsize american luxury car looked like in 2005
The thought is to do a Retro-futuristic redux (Like the HHR) of said car. That being said, I might branch off and make my own moniker for it. Does Chevy have an actual brand associated with in Beam? The Gavril vehicles contain elements from both Ford and Chevrolet, Bruckell seems to be a generic GM stand-in (LeGran is a blatant Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera clone, even down to the engines... GM made the same sizes of engine in thoes years. Disappointed there's no GM Diesels. ). My design inspiration is 2004-2010 Chevrolet/Pontiac designs. Clean lines, accentuated points, and gentle curves. Cleaning up the lines of the LeGran should be quite easy to do. Then make my own original Nosecone. Probably will curve the Hood down onto the nosecone, too. Make a nice, clean front. Tailgate/Trunklid/Taillamps will need lots of help, though. And then the monolithic task of reduxing the interiors. Or even, I could base it on the Malibu Maxx SS. Which is funny, in and of itself. The Malibu descended from the same platform that the Ciera was from. As a matter of fact, the Chevrolet Celebrity has very similar lines to the LeGran. And Malibu Maxx: On similar note, was the LeGran being sold as a Luxury car? Or just a normal sedan?
The LeGran, or at least what I know, isn't a luxury vehicle. It's aimed at a more family oriented thing, for people who wanted a nice, big car, but didn't want a minivan. Luxury trims were included, but the LeGran isn't revolved around that.
I'm thinking I'll sell it as a Sports-Oriented car, similar to the Impala SS or Monte Carlo IRL. Give the player a choice of 2 different sizes of I4, 1 super high reving F1 inspired engine (I4 also), 2 GM based V6 Motors, a V6 Diesel; Special Order, for Hauling/Towing (and hauling rear end... Will have a nice selection of turbos/tunes), and a small block Pushrod V8 for lols. Base model will be mated to a retuned 4-Speed auto with Manual Mode, or your choice of 5-Speed Manual, or my own custom "Manu-Matic" 4/5/6 Speed Semi-Automatic (H-Pattern Planetary gearset; clutchless manual... Is an Automatic with all autonomous functions removed). Will also have options for 5/6 speed Manual/normal Automatic transmissions. --- Post updated --- Revision 3 of my Nosecone. Sharpened the point further. Looking a bit reminiscent of a Z24 Cavalier. Need to make a new grille(s) to fit it. And not reusing that Bruckel default crap, either. --- Post updated --- With new grille (Base Model version)(I took the Z24 idea and ran with it. ) edit: Forgot to show my new headlights --- Post updated --- With new grille (Base Model version) Edit2: Aero Kit grille
