Didn't you see the little "/s" at the end?

hey:) since nobody brought this up and i don`t know if its just me but does anyone else think that the grand marshal is too stiff and safe for a car of its age i know the real life car on which its based is famous for its durability but if you look at for example iihs crash test footage of it its actually deforming quite a bit and is not a good performer especially on side impact crashes but in-game its stiffer than modern cars which have high strength steel passenger compartmens irl its just something that i noticed

I personally think this car should get a 2000s facelift much like the Crown Victoria. The one in the WBIMP pack has some issues.

Well, I don't really go into research for possible upcoming updates, but I think the Grand Marshal will eventually get a facelift/revamp like the 0.22 update that revamped the LeGran and added the Wendover. But I don't think it's going to be the next revamp, as from what I remember (and I could be horribly wrong here) people are saying that the next revamp will either be the H-Series or the Bolide.

The GM was the first vehicle to get remastered back in 0.17.1, so she's near the bottom in terms of priority for more stuff

The H-Series got the quality part of her remaster but not the quantity part, and the Bolide hasn't seen anything in the public build but appears to have been touched a while ago in the dev build, hence the assumption that one (or both) of these will be the next remaster

The GM needs a new interior and major exterior updates. Shows you how dated the early BeamNG vehicles were in comparison to the newer stuff.

It looks fine to me. The interior is very posh, the exterior is at beamng standards. It has done very well considering how old it is.

It has a void where the headliner should be. Even ye old Pigeon has sun visors.

and don't get me started on the taillights. probably the worst model+texture combo in the game right now.

The Grand Marshal and H-Series have technically both been "remastered." Both received a full JBEAM rework, the former a few extra parts along with the removal of the incorrect unibody-style inner fenders, and the latter a new heavy duty frame and extended body. They also received minor tweaks to their proportions to make them less flat, like the Miramar, Covet, Sunburst, and others.

However, they did not receive the full mesh and texture rework plus the plethora of parts, facelifts, skins, and body styles that the D-Series, Roamer, and LeGran did, and both desperately need them. The two are basically the most versatile vehicle platforms in game behind the D-Series, and they've received very little over the years.

Informative. They probably will then, as they are part of the Gavril series of cars that share a number of parts.

the thing is, all the parts that they share already have been remastered (unless they plan to use interior textures...), so they now drop down the priority list below cars that have more obvious issues, like the bolide, moonhawk, pigeon, sunburst, covet, 200bx...

Maybe a mini one then. They haven't added many configs, haven't redone textures and model, and haven't added much content. A remaster that doesn't include jbeam work probably will come.

A wagon version (with rear facing back seats) would be nice. the last of the traditional family wagon due to the SUVpocalipse of the 90's and the minivanarmageddon of the late 80's.

Is it just me or does this car handle like a boat on steroids?

I mean, it is called a land yacht for a reason, but it's got some tremendously powerful engines.
