Hi, i was wondering if theres someone working on making the silvertop engine rev up to 12k again? I read a bit through this thread and saw that it got removed apparently. I tried checking if I can maybe let it rev back up to 12k through the tuning menu but didnt find any options for that. Would I have to modify some files to let it rev to 12k again? And if yes how would I go about doing that?
There is way to edit the engine jbeam files to make the silvertop rev to 12000 rpm and I have messed around with it to make it have about 240hp at 11000 rpm and changed the sport intake to make about 150hp at 7500 rpm for the stock engine. The sport intake is shared between the stock engine and the silvertop one so its kind of broken for the silvertop in my version of the 86. I also changed the sounds to ones that I like and fixed the chime the best I could. It stays on if you reset the car while it is on so make sure to come to a complete stop before resetting the car. It is also not named hotfix 14 because I consider it to be low quality and its not a true successor to the other hotfixes in the thread. This is just my personal one configured to meet my needs. Everyone please feel free to look around in the hotfix and do whatever you want to this edition of the 86.
Ok, so I've taken the liberty to create YET A NOTHER hotfix which addresses some important issues that I've found. It is based on the most recent hotfix by Dingo135. 1: Made all engine starters quieter 2: Made new engine sounds from scratch (again lol) 2: Adjusted rev limiters The .zip is named "sound hotfix" because, I thought it would make things simpler for the community if anyone else is making hotfixes only regarding sounds if they are all named thusly. Cheers! ;D
So, how do we Install this? I mean, do we remove the previous hotfixes or do we keep them in? Because I tried putting in with the other hotfixes, but the rev limiters still look the same to me, so can you please clarify?
is there (going to be) a hotfix/update that is gonna fix that headlight issue though? what i mean is on the real ae86 the front of the trueno is flush with the headlight right to the inner end of the top of the front bumper where was on this the front of the trueno is flush but not with the front bumper (there is a noticeable gap between the inner top end of the bumper and the bottom of the flip up headlight) other then that my only complaint is with the sound hotfix on the silvertop at around 10k rpm it sounds more like an f1 car then a four pot
yeah but it didnt change that with the headlights or the sound i might have done something wrong though so ill try again
Yeah, try clearing cache and deleting old versions permanently. there's a glitch I've experienced where the game can navigate to your recycle bin and use files with the same name as existing ones. So maybe try emptying your recycling bin if that's where you put the old versions.
