Outdated VW Polo R WRC

This car is great, but how do I change the skin? I've looked all over for how to do this.

 

I am having the same issue as well. The old version was removed first before I tried to load the new. I deleted the new and tried to extract again but to no avail. I love the car, can't wait to try out the new skins.

 

Tested yesterday, really great job done on this car, specially on the lights. Great job and nice car

How do you change skins to the RockStar version? I've been trying to figure it out myself and have had no luck.

To change the skins, open the materials.cs with notepad and and change the polo1.png and polo2.png to polo1rockstar.png and polo2rockstar.png or whatever the filenames are. The other skins are commented out with // so it should be pretty easy.

When I try to open materials.cs it says it cannot be opened? Do you know why it says that?

 

What are you trying to open it with or is it windows simply not knowing what to open a .cs file with?
Use Notepad++ or GEdit

 

DUDE! That car is AWESOME!!!!

I myself have #1432 of 5000 of the 2008 Volkswagen .:R32 that were sent here to the USA. Is there a chance that you have a MkV version of this in more of a stock body trim to match that of my R32??

Absolutely LOVE this thing... Cant wait to give it a shot!!

Plz reply The cars are not showing up when I select it and beamng crashes.

 

It may help us if you could give some more information. Does the game crash to desktop or appear to freeze? If it freezes then press tilde to open the in game console which may help with finding out what the issue is.

 

it could have just been me not the car because when I was selecting different textures seeing if one would make the car show up beamng turned off (might of just been the game)

And make sure it's in alpha_prerace/vehicles/polo/<polo.dae/textures/etc should be here>

 

I just noticed that capri made by Jalku does not show up on my beamng either..

If you updated your game with mods installed you will have to reinstall your mods .

 

Ok, so once the game freezes press the tilde key on your keyboard. I am unaware of the location of the tilde key on mars keyboards so i will assume American. On a UK keyboard you will need to press the @ key.



This will bring up a screen with lots of text on that should tell you what the error is.
