I've been working on this for the past few days, thanks to Mythbuster for all the helpful advice for all the questions that I annoy him with everyday :p

So far I've got the exterior pretty much done I still need to adjust the pillars, roof and add some other details. I'll try to use normal maps as much as possible for all the little details, you know since I can :)

(and yes before you ask, I'll make a cop version)

So far it's only 9755 Vertices 4856 Faces.

Fantastic work! It always puts a smile on my face when another car is in production... even if it is an iron biscuit tin on hub caps. Gonna be a laugh to smash this one up. :p

Don't forget to add control loops around all the semi-hard edges as it looks like you've got some funky smoothing.

Yeah that's caused by the edge split modifier, manually splitting or decreasing the angle fixes that.

Yeah I'll probably do a police and taxi version.

You are my new favorite person. We need a Men In Black version.

Well if you split the edge it'll look unnaturally hard. Add edgeloops either side of the edge (without changing the shape/silhouette) and it'll make nice perfect shading.

Ah, yes I get what you mean now. I already have done that on the hood but I need to add it to a couple of other panels.

Yep, its gonna be a complete car of course. I just need to finish of the body and important stuff first.

Few ideas I've been thinking off (light bar, taxi sign, windows etc only temporary) I also fixed most of the smoothing issues.

    Looks awesome.
Are you planning on any grille lights?
Anyway, I would assume you might make it (the lightbar) similar to the Grand Marshall's lightbar (when we see it)??
(Sorry if it seems like a weird question, my mind's in a lake right now, I feel weird XD)

maybe if it is possible you could do different skins of the taxi and cop, like maybe a chp version, then a o.p.p version

(imported from here)and for the taxi, a ny skin then maybe la taxi. good idea?

I'll probably do a ny taxi skin when it comes to that but I'm not sure about which police livery.
