WRC cars have license plates? I actually never knew that.

Most of these are probably street legal, but I included them because you are more likely to see them on a race track or rally stage than a public road, and it wouldn't make sense to see them on a street, even though they are probably street legal.

Just noticed there are rear window switches on all late model door panels, including those on the two door.

If a car is street legal there is no sense to put them on the tow truck unless it is necessary.

I seen a lot of drift cars drifting with licence plates. For any other race they will take off the plates so they won't get lost after a crash. However with rally cars it's not that odd to see them on the streets.

I also remember situation in rally when after the crash a co-driver has to sit near the engine and pull acceleration cable there, because it snapped (yes, outside the car, with open hood he had to sit there). They finish the stage and had to drive to maintenance tent on public roads.

    Another example:

Wendover's hood hinge models now get distorted when the hood is opened

WRC cars drive on the public roads between stages, at least they do here in the UK - so have to be road legal.

I just want to point out a minor issue. When using the wendover, when I pick a FWD preset, then change it to RWD, the driveshaft fazes through the exhaust.

You are supposed to pick the AWD exhaust and AWD fuel tank, you can't just change one part like this and expect everything to work

Whilst this is true, ideally the game would handle things a bit better and use a (toggle-able) dependency system to avoid things like that happening, so that if a user selects a rear differential, it automatically selects a RWD/AWD transfer box (that could be overridden if the user wants that for some reason).

A better idea would be to create a mother slot for the fuel tank, exhaust and transfer case called Dtivetrain Layout, and you can choose either FWD or RWD/AWD, and not be able to swap parts between them because that makes zero sense.

Yeah it wouldn't makes sense to have a FWD gearbox with a rear diff, but outright removing that ability might be seen as regressive. Better to allow it but not make it default behaviour IMO.

I personally like the more open system, I think the ideal way would be to make a part blacklist system, so if you have a certain part equipped, then a blacklist of parts you can't equip becomes available. so no fwd exhaust when you have a driveshaft, and vice versa, no H15 van body when you're using an upfit chassis, no hopper offroad spare tire mount when you have the factory one equipped (this causes a crash if you equip both, since they both have the same spare tire slot).
such a system would fix a large amount of part clipping issues, but blacklists would have to be manually made per part, and that's presuming such a system could actually be easily implemented.

Indeed, I doubt it's a trivial thing to implement. The whole parts selection UI is cumbersome to use anyway. It's one thing that arcade racers that feature car customisation have the advantage on.

If I were to implement a blacklist/dependency system, it would first of all be possible to turn it off in the options or at the bottom of the screen, so that people who want to mix and match parts for their own reasons can do so. Then, if I were to select an AWD drivetrain, it would automatically change the fuel tank and add a rear diff accordingly, perhaps with the option for me to go in and override that if desired for some reason, with an appropriate warning that the parts aren't compatible, maybe grey out the option or put an incompatibility icon next to it.

I dunno, it's not the right thread for discussing this anyway, just came to mind since we were on the topic of parts selection and compatibility.

Happens to me if I spawn the CrashHard 8x8 BigRig and then replace it with the T-Series.
