So we are learning the absolute basics of Blender at university, and the first thing we had to model was this: I know it's bad and I could do a billion times better but it's literally what it was supposed to look like. And since it's a car that is already modeled in Blender and I made it, I though, why not port it to BeamNG, so I did it in 1 week, as a way to learn more about making a car. This car has many features you would expect from someone's first full car, such as: Only 1 config: Simple Jbeam that barely fits the shape: Only the most basic parts that were needed for the car to work, hence no suspension, and most are invisible: Barely any customization, the only things you can change are the engine block, nitrous settings, torque converter, diff, final drive and wheel hubs to 5-lug, also barely any tuning: Absolutely awful driving experience due to lack of suspension and terrible front wheelbase: Similarly terrible crash physics due to ultra low poly model and Jbeam: Brakes that work but no really, for some reason you can slow down but not stop completely and I have no idea why, also braking in reverse causes wheelies: Some weird comments in Jbeam files: Also a less obvious thing you probably didn't expect from a mod like this: Fully adjustable sounds! I made use of sound parts that are already available in the game but there are no slots for them in any of the vanilla vehicles. You are free to copy the soundscape slots to your mod, it's a very underrated feature of the game and I don't know a single other mod that uses it. Keep in mind that this is a joke mod and it's not supposed to be good, I made it to learn how to make some things in the game that I didn't know yet. Credits: Whoever designed the model for the model design (couldn't find any author and it's such a simple thing that anyone could design it, I only made it in Blender) BeamNG for D-Series hubs Jbeam with all sub-slots and everything powertrain related from the Bluebuck that I swapped to this car Me for everything else You are allowed (even encouraged) to use anything from the mod in your own mods, wihout the need to credit me for the soundscape slots because it is vanilla content, you also can suggest anything I can add to this mod (please nothing serious), and you are free to fix my trash Jbeam if you want and post it so I can include it in the mod. Download file attached below the post.
Hey good for you. I'm happy you learnt how to do the basic things. I think with experience doing small things like this you could make something much more complex. Nice work! Can't wait to crash the wedge
IT'S THE NEW LAMBORGHINI!! No but seriously, this is kinda funny and probably better than what I could make
