The pitboxes are extra. They’re just extra textures that I wanted to keep separate. --- Post updated --- I tried to originally but they kept on slamming into the outside wall. Maybe somebody that does a better job with AI pathing (like they would know something that I don’t know) could fix it.
if you port any other nascar thunder maps, maybe port sonoma & watkins glen? i have a particular craving for race tracks and there aren't enough
Just installed and it works perfectly, except for the AI. They seem to like sinking below the ground? Or when I reset my vehicle they appear underground. This happens when set the AI to traffic.
yeah. it's the AI roads. i had to move them away from the walls in some places since they used to always hit the walls too much as well as spawn into the walls when in traffic mode. (this was made before the new map editor was a thing.)

I’m trying to get the AI working right as well as upgrading to PBR (using GIMP to generate normal maps and making opacity maps when necessary since the track itself is so old, that it only used basic textures). but i am thinking of switching this map to the map of Talladega from Nascar 21: Ignition (yeah, I literally sacrificed $100 just to get the tracks for this reason) since it’s uses PBR materials by default AND it’s laser scanned, which makes it on par to the Spa and Nurburgring maps in realism. Yet i am waiting for NinjaRipper to support DX12 games since NASCAR 21 is DX12 only.
Sounds complicated, I think your work is amazing tbh, especially since its the only remaining superspeedway mod in BeamNG as the ayt-ona mod for Daytona doesn't work anymore, I hope that the work goes well for ya, cant wait to see this amazing track fully finished one day
I still have a working copy of the ATE-ONA track in my mods folder, if thats anything you're interested in I may be able to email you a copy of it. It's an older version of it, but the AI works pretty decently.

Not a probem! It wants me to send it as a link via google drives, do you have a google drive setup? If not I'll figue another way to send it. Also, in the email will be instructions on where to put said file, as its the way I have it working (at least for me lol). Update: I just sent it via google drive, while it doesn't let you preview it, it does allow you to download it. IN the email are instructions where to put it, let me know if it wokrs!
