I find it such a shame that when great mods like this with great potential when finished are flung by disrespecting people who don't give a toss on the websites that pirate games and generally steal money from the developers. I managed to get hold of this mod ages ago and it was great by the way. Loved the handling.
You guys beg for headlights way too much... Excuse the no-reflection insides and stuff. I can't be arsed to spend 10 minutes figuring out how to do proper render reflections in Maya. Also, excuse the blinker/sidelight. I haven't done that yet :') And yes, in real life, the glass that has the refraction lines on it is pushed this far back inside too. I double-checked like 10 different pictures, because I didn't think there would be 2 layers of glass in real life, but there were(kinda like BMW E39/E36 headlights). I might move it closer to the outside glass even if it's less realistic, depending on how it looks in-game, cause I think this might make it look weird in-game. Also mirrors. Suprisingly way easier to make than I thought. Yay, back to work on the sidelight/blinkers... Drawing more lines. Yay.
Holy Lord, this is looking great. The hard work on the lights paid off. My only question is how do I become your best friend so I can be sure I get to drive the finished product.
Okay hopefully i have some images you didnt found already. Im not 100% shure about the pfotos are correctly but this is what i found at Google. Yeah i know the one in attachments is wrong. Sry ^^
Seriously ?? It sounds awesome, and some jackass uploaded it to another forum ? BUT.. BUT.. BUT.. I WANT TO DRIVE TOO hehe, i see what you did there [www.areyoustupid.ru]
Thanks Jujune! Some of those are definitely useful! Here's one mostly finished headlight... Please note that in the first image, I rendered in Maya Software, so the normal maps are screwed up. The second picture(and the previous one from my other post) was rendered using Maya Hardware, where the polygon transparancy sorting is screwed up... The second image is rendered from the exact same file, but because the transparancy sorting is screwed up, the headlight glass is just not being rendered, kinda stupid as it worked fine in the image from the previous post.... Hopefully I can test it out in-game soon so I can tweak everything properly. EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to fix the little bar in the bottom of the headlight... Oops. EDIT2: fixed that
