there are lots of modders who do a bunch of not so great mods and then there are people like you who make 1 or 2 AWESOME mods keep up the great mods
The speed chime playing all the time is a bug. I fixed it in my hotfix on page 135. If you don't like my custom sounds, then just take the blinker.lua file and replace it in the original mod. My fix still has it stay on if you reset the car while it is on so come to a stop before resetting the car.
The Toyota AE86 sold in Japan was fitted with a chime that came on above 64 mph. (103kph) I believe it is removable, but yeah... I don't see why anyone likes it. Spoiler Guys, please don't give me responses along the lines of "iT wAs iN AniMe!!! I know this, but the fact remains: it's annoying
I liked the AE86 before I even knew it was in Initial D. AE86 for me is Gran Turismo, not Initial D. I just like the shape of it TBH. I also like 80s and 90s Japanese cars in general. A Mk 3 Supra, or an 80s and early 90s RX-7 would both be suitable alternatives to me. Even then... I'd still rather have a Miata.
Yep, I just think that it sounds kinda fake compared to the original. But it may just be because I'm to used to the old one because its starting to grow on me now.
Ok then, I did get them from the initial D sound files, but I understand, I've played a lot with those old sounds over the years
You can remove it in the parts selector, but then, are you truly worthy of driving such an iconic legend?
I have taken it upon myself to redo the sounds again and fix minor things that were bugging me. The new sound for the 16V engine comes from and actual AE86 so it finally has its proper sounds. It may sound a little weird at high rpms but it is accurate. The sport intake is still broken for the silvertop because it's shared between it and the 16V engine but I have fixed minor issues with the torque curve up to 8k rpm. It still makes 150 hp at 7500 rpm but a small jump at 2k and a dip at 8k have been fixed. The redline of the 16V is now 8k by default and 8.2 with the sport ecu. (I may make the sport ecu rev to 9k but it doesn't really fit the style of the car.) The silvertop does not have an accurate irl sound so I reused one from a previous version that I thought suited it. It produces 240hp at 11k rpm with a redline of 12k. It is tuned like the one in the second season of Initial D. The tune in later seasons was 220 hp at 9k with the same redline. If anyone has a suggestion for a silvertop sound and can give me audio files, I will do my best to make it. My discord is Dingo#0821 if you want to contact me.
