Do you need to have a GPU?

I've just got the game, but I don't have a GPU as I'm running off of my laptop. As a result, I keep getting an error and a crash within 5 minutes of opening the game. Is it absolutely necessary to have a GPU or can you get around it?

 

What are your specs? Make sure your graphics are on lowest settings.

 

I have all the settings at lowest. My laptop is not very powerful at all (measly little 8th gen i5 @ 1.8 GHz), but will run other sims (like Assetto Corsa) well enough at low graphics. I have attached a screenshot of the error I'm getting (sorry about the quality)

I am still easily within the refund window on Steam so can always resort to that if necessary and wait until I get a better machine to play.

 

Try overclocking the igpu if possible?
On another note, I remember there being an intel igpu workaround? Not exactly sure though

You don’t need a GPU, but if you want any sort of good performance, you need one.

 

I ran the demo on a laptop many years ago, but had to make a tiny window. 2 years ago when I sold my ps4-pro and got a newer PC it was the first game I bought.
