I love the Wigeon! I am a fan of weird cars, so I am very excited about it. It's clear that the Wigeon is inspired by the Bond Bug and the CitiCar, but it also reminds me a lot of the Aruanda and the Gurgel Itaipu, two concept cars built here in Brazil back in the 60s and the 70s. As for its powertrain, I don't know what to expect, but it would be great if it came with a low displacement engine (like the Aruanda) or an electric one (like the Gurgel Itaipu).
Guessing it might just be based on the Bond bug but modified for four wheels. Most likely it would use the same engine as the pigeon (especially the high powered variant) and drive train. this would mean this vehicle wouldn't take as long to make as a lot of vehicles (simple Jbeam and sharing components). 4 wheeled bond bugs do exist.
I don't know why people think it could be eletric, when it has a pretty fat vent on the bonnet? Also wouldn't fit the time period of it that much (70's), makes more sense it has a pigeon like engine.
As much as i like this new idea, there are alot of vehicles in need of rework. The Van, T-Series, Moonhawk, 1st Gen Pessima. I think overhauling and adding more content adding to existing vehicles should be the first way to go. The Grand Marshal received an remaster but it was more of some content besides the Frame Seperation and you just see it didnt aged that well. Just my opnion of the current situation.
I'm sure they're in the process of it, we just haven't seen the teasers. As stoat said, each vehicle will get it's chance.
I starting to doubt a little. As i mentioned before the Grand Marshal received a Remaster but it didnt was properly reworked in terms of quality. The rear Wheelwell, the Interior, i just hope the devs kept that in mind and didnt get sloppy about the rework jobs on the old vehicles
well like with the legran and wendover it would be safe to assume that with the added wigeon the pigeon will get updated another car that needs an update.
Almost certainly, but lets hope it will match the quality of the last part of the D-series remaster with the full detail spectrum. Half decent reworks are only just half acceptable for a special and important game like BeamNG. the Quality is what speaks for it, Let it stay that way.
Tbh, the last update was pretty underwhelming. The Legran facelift was nothing more than a new grille, and the Wendover was just a rebodied Legran i.e. it drives the same, handles the same and looks fairly similar. Hopefully the next update will bring more variety.
Well said, lets just hope the devs dont get too easy. the next update needs to deliver in more than one or two ways.
Though I agree the update was slightly underwhelming, it's rather rude saying the update was "just a new grille and a rebodied legran".
The LeGran got an entire new wagon body, and an oldstyle wagon was one of the biggest content gaps in the game...
