Oh boy back at moving verts around I guess -.-
And the exterior finally started to grow on me..

Currently fixing the door which wasn't as straight as it should have been ... something this little can cause so many problems...here is a pic:
    e.JPG
left side: door as it should have been, right side: previous version door.

Also while looking at more pictures I noticed that the lines on the doors and fenders were too sharp...so one thing led to another and after two hours of constantly moving verts around this came out:
    q.JPG

It looks much much better even though it needs some touch ups because of the weird reflections in some places... I also have to edit the area around the scoop on the rear quarter panel now...and I didn't even mention the fender and fascia :`(
    r.JPG

So what do we learn from this? Don't add any details before you are 110% sure you have your proportions right! I literary had to do the whole car twice because of this...front was messed up, rear quarter panel was dead wrong and now the door and everything around it too....I guess you learn from mistakes though :)

    Alrighty then..fixed my mistakes(again-.-).

This means the car has the right shape and the lines don't look like they would cut you anymore ^^

    Before: q.JPG After: r.JPG

Personally I think it looks better...but still not perfect..

This looks really nice and I know you have been working on it a while. I know its taboo to say when do you think it will be released and I know its your first vehicle mod, etc, etc. Are you 60% complete? More? I know there is a lot even after the basic model is done. Couldn't you sit out a semester and finish this first? Just kidding. Can you give a updated list of what you accoumplished and went through to this point and what still needs to be done? It is interesting to see what a new vehicle modder goes through and it looks like you are doing a very good job. I have not modded a vehicle so it is interesting to follow what you are experiencing.

Well I didn't want to bring this topic up until next week but since you asked I guess I'll say it now.. After the 1st August I will be gone for like 6 weeks on a trip abroad with some friends(summer vacantion and stuff) and I won't be able to work on the car for that time. After that my final year of school will arive and I plan to unplug my pc and everything distracting(this project included) Why you may ask? Because my grades were shit this year...soo this kinda sucks...The car took way longer than expected especially with all the fuck ups I did.. but that's how it is..I may or may not be able to pass this project to somebody over here but I am not sure if he would agree..nothing promissed.

    About the %

    Model: 80% (Exterior 80% Interior 70% Running gear/Engine 90%)
    Texture: 35%
Jbeam: I can't tell how much exactly but it has been started by Bakasan a while ago.

Sorry to hear about your grades, yeah, definitly take off the time you need from modding. Good luck and maybe at some point maybe you or someone else can finish it.

Well they are not terrible, so don't worry ^^ They are just not what I was aiming for...

Now back to the car. I have made some little progress today:
Cleaned up everything again, especially the fender and wheelarch.
    w.JPG
Also tried to fix the air vents. Better now?
    e.JPG
And new fornt bumper(customization part). The shading and topology is quite horrid at the moment though :p
    q.JPG
And a quick ingame shot with the new shapes(no textures obviously):
    a.JPG

Also very good news! Bakasan agreed to take this project as his own after the 1st of August so it won't be on hold until I graduate next year :) I am sure she will be in good hands.

Allryghty, so this will be the last post about this car you'll see from me this year due to time issues I already mentioned in provious posts. Happily Bakasan will add this project to his allready huge list of awesomeness in the meantime. So you'll maybe see some progress posts from him here or somewhere else ^^ I am sure he will make it great! So make sure to support him :)

Here are some renders as a temporay "goodbye" from me :)
Well..those are not litterary renders..they are just viewport pics with some reflections since I still have no idea how to do a proper render ^^

    g.JPG d.JPG s.JPG f.JPG h.JPG
I think this will be the final color scheme by the way.

Bonus ingame shots. textures are not nearly done...with no normal or specular map...but it still looks pretty good :) I am happy with it.

Looks amazing so far, its came a long way since the start and its only got better :D

Also little tip here but you could use a few more polies for the smaller dash gauges and most importantly the steering wheel. You'd be amazed by how much better the final product will look with just a few more polies ;)
