and then after you unpack the patch, the folder that results from unpacking the patch is the one that you put in the user folder?
By installing both the original and the fix --- Post updated --- So, you unpack the zip so that you have a vehicles folder. Go into your userfolder and paste it there, it should add the files to the existing vehicles folder.
thanks TO THE NEXT INFINITY! Edit: After I closed the game after downloading the mod and fix, every time I started BeamNG.Drive, it crashed and had an error, so I had to uninstall the combination. Then, I realized the original mod provided the English version of the Tasti-Cola skins for the H-Series, so I re-downloaded the mod. Just for funsies, I selected the dummy as a passenger, but it turns out the fix fixed the placement of the dummy permanently, so it wasn't broken! Thanks guys!
If and 'IF' it still works, yes, then you'll need both. Make sure to read this thread thoroughly to understand how to make the changes, it's not quite a walk in the park
Ok, so what you have to do is, download the zip. Then, unzip it. There will be a folder in there called "vehicles". If you see that folder, move it to your user folder. Just so you know, the user folder is the folder that says BeamNG.drive, although, as of a recent update, you may have to find a folder called "moved here", and click on it, in order to find the user folder. If it appears again, click. If it stops appearing, you found the actual user folder. Take the "vehicles" folder from the unzipped zip, and move it to the user folder, it'll merge with the existing one. I'm sorry if this is too long, and if that's the case, here is a shortened version from an older post on this thread:
i cant find it under C:\Users\yourName\Documents\BeamNG.drive --- Post updated --- i cant find it under C:\Users\yourName\Documents\BeamNG.drive
The folder has been moved to appdata. Go to your userfolder under documents and click the shortcut "moved here"
Ive done everything as you said and it just doesnt want to work, i have put the original mod in my mods folder and im a bit unsure what to do with your version. What do I need to do? Cus im really lost. I can see the dummy with jbeam but they are invisible, how come?
This patch fixed the mod for me, just extract, copy-paste the content into the vehicle folder of the user folder and it fixes the mod !!!! I was waiting for so long for this thank you very much !!! Also animations work fine Fantastic job
Sorry for bump but just saying, after the Pigeon update dummies fit in it no problem, so you can update this fix to include the Pigeon. (Previously the dummy would literally explode if you enabled it in the files because it physically didn't fit)
