Hi! I'm creating a new map (as some of you know) and I ran into a couple of dilemmas. 1.) Some "materials" have the same name IE 'material_1'. Different objects with the same material name (material_1) have the same texture which was on the first object that had a material named material_1. (In this case, it's a yield sign So the question is, how can I change material names? 2.) How do I make objects that I put in collidable or solid? Thanks for the help and don't drop the n00b bomb on me because I didn't use the search bar...
are you talking about the terrain painter? if so just hit that... double click the texture and find the "rename" button
"2.) How do I make objects that I put in collidable or solid?" In the scene tree under collision type select visible mesh. That should work
It sounds like you are using sketchup as I have had this problem too. To rename a material you select it in the materials window and give it a new name in the top input box. (highlighted yellow in my pic) Delete the folder with the textures that sketchup created for your original model and export it again. As for collisions see my tutorial video TUTORIAL-Sketchup-tutorial-for-LOD-and-Collision-meshes-(not-visible-mesh-collisions) I hope I have got the right end of the stick and that this helps as I have just woken up and am not really with it yet
