I posted this in the 0.22 feedback topic quite awhile ago but it didn't get much attention there, and since the things I mentioned there are still relevant to the LeGran I thought it was worth reposting in the car's own topic now.

    1. The LeGran taxi skin has a texture glitch on the trunk's "888-TURBO" text when used on the sedan body:

    2. The LeGran's landau top is no longer colourable and is missing the chrome strip around the edge.
Here's the old version of the landau at the bottom of this picture, with the chrome strip and matched to the car:

Now it's permanently black and without the trim:

I don't know if this change was intentional or not but I liked it better the old way as it allowed for more variety, and most real cars like the LeGran with landau tops had them in matching colours rather than always solid black.

I just thought of an interesting addition to the LeGran Wagon: a rear-facing jump bench! The cargo area certainly looks large enough to accommodate such a seat and, also, this type of seat isn't represented in BeamNG yet!

And here's my usual list of proposed fixes!
    • The Bruckell LeGran Rally and Race versions may be spawning with the AWD Race Exhaust (as they would, because they both have the Independent Rear Suspension) but the LeGran Race spawns with the Stock Oil Pan instead of the Race Oil Pan.
    • Also, the LeGran Race still has the wrong model years in its infobox (''1984 - 1988'' while it should have the ''1989 - 1993'' model years written because it's a facelifted model).
    • In the Sport Gauges, the small letters at the bottom of the tachometer are variable: when the backlighting is off, these letters say "RPM x100" but when it's on, they say "RPM x1000". It certainly is a small (but really notable) issue with textures.
    • Furthermore, the facelifted LeGran Sedan models should have the Facelift Taillights just like the facelifted Wagon versions do.
    • Last but not least, the "LeGran SE V6 Wagon (Facelift)" still has the 3-Speed Automatic with the non-locking Torque Converter instead of the 4-Speed with the Locking Torque Converter all other SE variants have!

Since that thread doesn't exist yet, I'll just put these here for now. If we get a thread for it, I'll move it.

Since the new car is now revealed, I have some suggestions for the police versions:

Besides the generic version we've already seen, a BCPD version would be nice as their "current" cruisers are from the 90s. This would probably be based on the standard police model as well.

I would have suggested a Firwood version but they already have multiple Sunburst versions, and as a small town those could probably still be in service. A Firwood version wouldn't be a bad thing, but I see it as "lower priority" I guess compared to these other versions.

We currently have two SUVs for the Sheriff's department, and in real life many Sheriff's departments use sedans as well. A Sheriff's cruiser would fit Utah and the various Texas maps quite well, just re-using the existing Sheriff livery seen on the Roamer and Hopper.

Chargers are incredibly popular with a lot of State Police forces, and since the Pessima's State Police car version is based on the Virginia State Police, perhaps a State Police Bastion could use the same design as well? This would probably be the highest end police package Bastion with AWD and the best engine available for the package. (VSP used Tauruses instead of Chargers but it's not too much of a stretch, both are modern American police sedans)

If there's a Hellcat like trim level, maybe the Police Interceptor version could be based on it? (With the interceptor livery seen on the GM and Sunburst)

I could see an unmarked version too. (Detective Special)

The Sunburst has 5 police versions (Police, Police Interceptor, Firwood Police, Firwood Police RS, Gendarmerie) and that's not even an American car. 6 versions on the Bastion wouldn't be too excessive, especially when they'd all reuse existing designs. To recap:
    • Police (What has already been shown)
    • Belasco City Police (Normal police package)
    • County Sheriff (Normal police package)
    • Detective Special (Top of line police package)
    • State Police (Top of line police package)
    • Police Interceptor (Based on top trim "hellcat" like model if there is one)

Hm, shouldn't the Pessima have an all-blue lightbar then instead of the red and blue?

gauge cluster bug had been partly fixed in the previous update, but is back again,
    10x1000rpm o_O
no way a legran can rev upto 10krpm lmao forget the 70k redline then.. before it used to happen only when the lights were on (similar to how the pessima metric gauges lit show imperial as well)
but now, legran be having a wankel engine that can rev to 10k rpm lmao

Potential bug unless I'm missing something: The "Toggle Range Status" binding does not seem to shift between high and low range when this car is equipped with the "Locking Low-Range AWD Transfer Case".

Can i get the official teams description on this?

Many people say its not based off a Buick or Chrysler Station wagon. Many people do.

I say its based off of an amalgamation of 1980s style reasonably priced AMERICAN sedans/station wagons. My supporting arguments are Bruckell is usually reserved for American cars in the games lore. The boxy appearance is more akin to American style cars rather than European.

I don't know if the team ever came up with an official explanation, but the Internet Video Game Car Database seems to think that the main inspiration was the Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera.

To me, it's much more K-car.

But, it is, of course, it's own car, and not simply a rebadged copy of a K-car, nor is it solely based on one. That's just the frame of reference I saw.

Yeah, the LeGran does have a severe lack of power potential. Without cheesing the game's aero model by removing parts, or abusing the rev limiter trick to get more power, the best supercharged 3.8L can just barely reach the old Mid Night Club qualification speed of 160MPH, and if I remember correctly, it needs nitrous to get there. IRL, as far as I know, force-fed versions of the 3800 are pretty stout engines.

Absolutely, the 3800 is a beast of a motor. Richard Holdener on YouTube made 600+ hp and 550 lb ft with just a turbo, all on an originally supercharged motor with stock everything. No mods. Just a turbo.

Tbh, turbocharging the 3800 V6 opens the door for an 80s RWD Bruckell model. We're missing this niche in the BeamNG lore.

I tried to make one, but I wanted to do a full G-Body with the wagon, sedan, coupe, and pickup versions. I don’t have enough experience to UV map all that and make skins work properly. And so I moved onto other projects.

I have no idea how to model a car and make UV maps and skins but, on the other hand, I found a couple of names for this car: the Bruckell Courchevel (after all, Bruckell had a love affair with French names back in the 80s - the "LeGran" nameplate and its "Regulier", "Campagne", "Luxe" and "Luxe Grandiose" versions are proof and the "Luxe" one is the only one surviving today, in the Bastion) and the Soliad Palatine. In terms of meaning, both (and especially the "Palatine" one) are as close as they get! :p

The LeGran is great, especially after the remaster. Something that's missing though is the automatic version of the sport gauges with the gear indicator in them. When equipped with a column shifter and sport gauges, there is no indicator of what gear you're in. The pre-facelifted model had this as an option.
