Note quite, you are thinking of Triumph, who used to make cars and bikes, but now only make bikes (different company though), TVR, on the other hand, is a British Sports car brand, they don't make bikes, only cars, like these: This is there new car, the new Griffith:
@Zackory J Covington Stop shouting. The Zafira isn't British, it's designed and built in Germany, and has been ever since the Zafira A in the 90's. Zafiras sold in the UK had the Vauxhall badge and that's it. The only Vauxhalls built in the UK were the Vectra and the Astra. You should obtain better knowledge about cars and then comment on the a car.
it was built in england is 1999 and opel ones are imported and rebadged but opel is owned by vauxhall
The only plant that built passenger cars was Ellesmere Port, and they only built the Astra and the Vectra there. The Luton plant only built commercial vehicles. Zafiras were built in Germany and badged Vauxhalls before being shipped over to the UK. And Opel isn't (and wasn't) owned by Vauxhall. It was the other way around.
how come opel is making the same cars as vauxhall is iopel vauxhall in Germany --- Post updated --- maybe
Vauxhall is a subsidiary of Opel. Opel designed the cars for the European market, along with some cars for the worldwide market, such as the Astra which was sold under each territory's respective brands at the time. In the UK our GM brand was Vauxhall, so Opel cars were badged as Vauxhalls before being sold in the UK market. Every Vauxhall in production since the company was bought by Opel is designed in Germany and badge-engineered for the UK market. The Opel Astra, for example, was sold as the Vauxhall Astra in the UK, the Holden Astra in Australia, the Saturn Astra in the US and the Chevrolet Astra in Mexico, but it was designed in Germany. It's the same car with different badges and slightly different equipment to suit each intended market. The same goes for a few other cars Opel made. The Zafira was sold under the Opel badge for the continental European market, Vauxhall in the UK, Holden in Australia, and Subaru badge engineered the car for the Japanese market.
Because Vauxhall used to be its own brand, it changed in the late 70s and they are REBADGED Opels now. Thats because Vauxhall is a subsidiary. Every Vauxhall is not a Vauxhall is an Opel with a Vauxhall badge, making it 100% German, and for the German market. Opel, owns the Vauxhall name and just sells its cars under it in the UK. Therefore, the Zafira is 100% German, not British at all.
