Yes, it might have to do with those new "delay" and "offset" functions (I don't get the purpose of those yet). The Script AI was incredibly accurate before update 23.1 so I don't quite understand these functions unless of course they should solve the very problem we are reporting lol. Dev team, we need you^^
I know right, Script AI was on point before update. Let's just hope devs will notice our messages and reports, and work on it. I'd trade those new graphics update for previous version of Script AI :/
Kind of a mess ngl, hopefully some of these get fixed someday. Not counting on it though, I reported some of these before the hotfix and they didn't go anywhere - if they are actually changes, I prefer them the way they used to be
You might be surprised to learn that bug fixing takes time and the issue may not be as simple as it seems The moonhawk’s skins shading things that aren’t meant to be body colored is probably a result of a mishap when converting to pbr (there’s a lot of textures and I can totally see how easy it would be to make a mistake), same with the wendover, grand marshal, legran, and pessima’s issues. I imagine the barstow’s texture issue (which is actually an issue with that common tire texture) will be fixed faster than the other issues simply because it’s more noticeable. I highly doubt any of this was intentional.
Yeah, the bubble terrain (idk what else to call it lmao) tanks performance. Me having potato hardware, 25fps down to 13fps.. oof
I noticed that since 0.23 my ui app gives me a console error regarding saving settings (Uncaught TypeError: ctrl.getSettings is not a function) Is the way described on https://documentation.beamng.com/modding/ui/app_creation/ deprecated now? And do you suggest using localstorage or other methods of saving settings for a ui app?
This explains why some parts get miscoloured when you spawn a car for the first time after launching the game and they keep doing that after closing, cleaning cache and relaunching the game. I didn't notice any issue with the Barstow's tires and the Wendover's textures, but I did notice the Moonhawk, '96 Pessima and Hopper vehicles having miscoloured parts (bumpers and chrome parts on the Moonhawk, dashboards on the two others). When the dev team gets PBR right, I'd like them to offer the option of body coloured bumpers to the Moonhawk, they make it look a bit like it just entered the early 80s! But judging from the looks of the metallic paints, the team already has a good base for getting to know PBR! Thank you very much sir! edit: I said I hadn't noticed any texture problem with the Barstow but that was only because I hadn't chosen it up until then. The normal versions have no problem but the Roadsport versions have a serious texture problem with their tires and their interior, which looks like it was sketch-drawn for a comic book!
Thanks for the report. It was a bug with the new scriptAI/AI throttle control. Fix will be in next hotfix. If you notice that scriptAI still falls behind please report it here again.
There are plenty of dead-end roads where AI will freak out, stuck and sometimes block the road. Also there are plenty of roads where GPS will show something like this.
There are weird vertical lines (artifact-like) with the "light rays" enabled in the dark conditions (tested on 18:00 to 20:00 in-game time estimated, on maps Italy and East Coast USA, lines are visible while driving). I dunno if it appeared after 0.23 patch or before, but it is almost impossible to play with this setting in the night coniditions.
